Abstract

一種高穩定度LED控制電路,係供驅動並調整至少一發光二極體之發光亮度,其設有一控制晶片、一電流開關、一感測電阻、一第一電阻及一第二電阻。該發光二極體串接該電流開關及該感測電阻,該第一電阻一端耦接該發光二極體及該電流開關,另一端耦接該第二電阻一端及該控制晶片,且該第二電阻另一端耦接該電流開關及該感測電阻。當該發光二極體兩端跨壓增加時,該第二電阻兩端跨壓將隨之增加而補償該感測電阻兩端跨壓,以降低驅動電流而達恆定功率狀態。

Description

高穩定度LED控制電路
本發明係屬於發光二極體(Light Emitting Diode,LED)電源設備之技術領域,特別是關於一種支援雙向三極閘流體(TRI-electrode AC switch,TRIAC)調光之高穩定度LED控制電路,以利用外掛之旁路電阻進行功率補償而使LED達定功率之功效。
自LED以低耗電及高效能等特性襲捲照明市場後,如何優化LED燈具之照明亮度、照明均勻度、工作效率、使用壽命及調光控制度等儼然成為各廠商致力研究之目標。目前,LED燈具之控制電路多採用定電流架構而使LED串接一電流開關及一感測電阻,且為調整LED發光亮度係利用一TRIAC切換一外部電源之導通角。該感測電阻檢測流經LED之驅動電流而形成一壓降並反饋至一控制晶片,使其比較該壓降及輸入之該外部電源而輸出高準位電壓或低準位電壓至該電流開關,以適時導通或截止該電流開關而調整脈波寬度調變(Pulse Width Modulation,PWM)訊號之空佔比,如此,即可控制該驅動電流之大小及改變LED發光亮度。
然而,依LED之電流/電壓(I/V)特性曲線可知,LED並非為一線性元件,亦即,電壓對電流之比值並非成正比。因此,前述調光方法將因驅動電壓與驅動電流之改變量不一致,而使調光效果不精確並造成虛功耗。並且,受TRIAC工作特性限制,若該外部電源之壓值過 低而使流經TRIAC電流不足時,TRIAC將出現反覆切換工作狀態的現象,造成LED閃爍而降低照明品質。
有鑑於此,如何於無額外調整模組的條件下,利用最簡單的電路架構同時實現LED功率補償及TRIAC電流支援,以穩定TRIAC調光效果並限制LED發光功率於一定範圍內而提升燈具工作品質及穩定性,即為本發明所探究之課題。
有鑑於習知技藝之問題,本發明之目的在於提供一種架構簡單之高穩定度LED控制電路,其利用外掛電阻設定最大可允許之LED電流,避免LED受調光開關切換時的雜訊影響,提升工作品質的同時降低成本。
根據本發明之目的,該高穩定度LED控制電路係適用以驅動並調整至少一發光二極體之發光亮度,設有一整流模組、一控制模組及一驅動模組,該整流模組電訊連接一外部電源,該驅動模組電訊連接該整流模組及該發光二極體,該控制模組電訊連接該驅動模組及該發光二極體,且該控制模組具有一控制晶片、一電流開關及一感測電阻,該發光二極體串接該電流開關及該感測電阻,使該感測電阻感測流經該發光二極體之一驅動電流後形成反饋予該控制晶片之一感測電壓,其特徵在於:該高穩定度LED控制電路之該控制模組係具有一第一電阻及一第二電阻,該第一電阻一端耦接該發光二極體而另一端耦接該第二電阻一端及該控制晶片,且該第二電阻另一端耦接該電流開關及該感測電阻,當該發光二極體兩端跨壓增加時,該第二電阻兩端跨壓將隨之增加 而補償該感測電阻兩端跨壓,以降低該驅動電流而達恆定功率狀態。
其中,該整流模組透過一雙向三極閘流體耦接該外部電源,供接收並調整該外部電源之相位導通角,以改變該發光二極體之驅動電流而調整發光亮度。該控制晶片設有一穩壓器、一電壓產生器、一選擇器及一運算放大器,且該穩壓器耦接該整流模組之輸出端,該選擇器耦接該電壓產生器,該運算放大器之正輸入端耦接該選擇器,負輸入端耦接該第二電阻,而輸出端耦接該電流開關。
該高穩定度LED控制電路更設有一線性調光模組,其係耦接該整流模組之輸出端及該選擇器,供偵測整流之該外部電源而輸出一偵測電壓予該選擇器,當該偵測電壓大於一上限值時,該選擇器接收該電壓產生器輸出之一參考電壓。當該偵測電壓為介於該上限值與一下限值內時,該驅動電流將與該偵測電壓成線性關係,故該選擇器輸出該偵測電壓之一半壓值,以調整該驅動電流而達線性調光之功能。又,當該偵測電壓小於該下限值時,該選擇器輸出一關閉訊號,以保持該發光二極體一基本亮度,使強化該雙向三極閘流體之調光效果。換言之,並且,該高穩定度LED控制電路更設有保持電流模組,其具有一第三電阻、一第四電阻、一保持開關及一保持電容,該保持開關為N型金氧半場效電晶體(N Type Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor,N-MOSFET),且該第三電阻一端耦接該整流模組而另一 端耦接該保持開關之汲極,又該保持開關之源極耦接該第四電阻,閘極耦接該穩壓器及該保持電容。當該穩壓器接收整流之該外部電源而產生一保持訊號,使該保持開關接收並導通時,該第三電阻及該第四電阻承接整流之該外部電源而於該第四電阻兩端形成分壓,以供該保持電容充放形成並輸出一保持電流予該雙向三極閘流體,避免TRIAC因基本電流不足而反覆切換工作狀態,如此,即可確保該雙向三極閘流體正常工作而避免LED閃爍的問題發生,進而提升燈具對TRIAC調光器之相容性。
為增強電路抗雜訊能力,該驅動模組設有一穩壓電容,其係並接該發光二極體而充放該驅動電流。
綜上所述,本發明係利用外掛之該第二電阻形成LED之一旁路偵測點,以隨該外部電源之輸入交流訊號變動而即時調整該驅動電流,使固定LED之發光功率於一固定範圍內,避免LED之發光功率隨著輸入交流訊號過度改變而損害產品壽命,甚者,可避免電路組件因異常大電流而損壞,形成短路保護之用。再者,本發明同時支援TRIAC調光及線性調光功能,可大幅提升照明品質而滿足使用需求。
為使 貴審查委員能清楚了解本發明之內容,謹以下列說明搭配圖式,敬請參閱。
請參閱第1~3圖,其係分別為本發明較佳實施例之第一實施態樣之電路圖、第二實施態樣之方塊圖及電路圖。如圖所示,高穩定度LED之該控制電路1係適用於 LED燈具中,以供驅動並調整至少一發光二極體2之發光亮度。該控制電路1設有一整流模組10、一驅動模組11、一線性調光模組12、一保持電流模組13及一控制模組14。該整流模組10可由一TRIAC 100及一橋式整流器101所構成,該橋式整流器101透過該TRIAC 100耦接一外部電源3而接收並整流該外部電源3形成半波之一輸入電壓(Vin)。該驅動模組11透過一二極體111耦接該橋式整流器101,及透過一穩壓電容110並接該發光二極體2,以充放該驅動電流而增強電路抗雜訊能力。
該線性調光模組12由兩分壓電阻120及一儲壓電容121所構成。該保持電流模組13具有一第三電阻130、一第四電阻131、一保持開關132及一保持電容133。該控制模組14具有一控制晶片140、一電流開關141、一感測電阻142、一第一電阻143及一第二電阻144,且該控制晶片140至少具有VH、VDD、LD、CS、GATE、GND等6訊號腳位,其內設有高壓線性之一穩壓器1400、一電壓產生器1401、一選擇器1402、一運算放大器1403及一過壓保護器1404。該對分壓電阻120相互串接後一端耦接該橋式整流器101,且其串接接點耦接該儲壓電容121及透過該控制晶片140之LD腳位耦接該選擇器1402。該保持開關132為N-MOSFET,其汲極串接該第三電阻130後耦接該橋式整流器101,該保持開關132之源極耦接該第四電阻131,而其閘極耦接該保持電容133及透過該控制晶片140之VDD腳位耦接該穩壓器1400。
該電流開關141為N-MOSFET,其汲極耦接該發光二極體2及該第一電阻143,源極耦接該感測電阻142及該第二電阻144,而其閘極透過該控制晶片140之GATE腳位耦接該運算放大器1403及該過壓保護器1404。該第一電阻143串接該第二電阻144,且其串接接點透過該控制晶片140之CS腳位耦接該運算放大器1403之負輸入端。又,該穩壓器1400透過VH腳位電訊連接該驅動模組11,該選擇器1402耦接該電壓產生器1401,且該運算放大器1403之正輸入端耦接該選擇器1402。如此,即形成一負回授電路。
當使用者調整該LED燈具之照明亮度時,該TRIAC 100將改變該外部電源3之相位導通角,連帶改變該橋式整流器101輸出之訊號波形而影響該驅動電流大小。並且,該穩壓器1400接收整流之該外部電源3後將針對該外部電源3進行降壓及穩壓而產生高電壓準位之一保持訊號,以供觸發該控制晶片140其餘內部電路及該保持電流模組13之用。該保持電流模組13接收該保持訊號時,該保持開關132將導通,使該第三電阻130及該第四電阻131承接該輸入電壓,且於該第四電阻131兩端形成分壓而供該保持電容133充放形成一保持電流,輸出予該TRIAC 100,以確保其正常工作,提升該LED燈具之工作穩定度。順帶一提的是,為滿足不同規格之該TRIAC 100而適用於各式LED燈具,該TRIAC 100之電流(ITRIAC)大小可透過該第四電阻131進行調整,且經實際量測之圖4A採用1.2KΩ該第四電阻131時電流為5mA,及圖4B採用0.9 KΩ時電流8mA可知,該 第四電阻131阻值越小則該TRIAC 100電流越大。
再者,該線性調光模組12偵測該輸入電壓而輸出一偵測電壓(LD)予該選擇器1402,而該電壓產生器1401則產生如0.75V之一參考電壓提供予該選擇器1402。由於該偵測電壓係受原始之或調光之該外部電源3影響而有所變動,因此,如圖5所示,當該偵測電壓大於如1.5V之一上限值時,該選擇器1402輸出該參考電壓,使該感測電阻142兩端跨壓(VS)固定於0.75V,以穩定該驅動電流。當該偵測電壓為介於該上限值與一下限值0.3V內時輸出該偵測電壓之一半壓值,以供線性調整該發光二極體2之發光亮度而補強及潤飾該TRIAC 100之調光效果。再者,當該偵測電壓小於該下限值時,該TRIAC 100進入關閉狀態,且該選擇器1402輸出一關閉訊號而固定VS於0.1V壓值,使該驅動電流保留一基本值而保持該發光二極體2一基本亮度,使該TRIAC 100之調光效果更顯柔和。
該感測電阻142感測流經該發光二極體2之該驅動電流而於兩端形成反饋予該運算放大器1403之一感測電壓,使該控制晶片140依據該感測電壓導通或截止該電流開關123而調節該驅動電流。於本實施例中,當該發光二極體2之串組顆數發生變化或該外部電源3如圖6A之70V拉升至圖6B之90V時,該發光二極體2兩端跨壓增加且該驅動電流提升,使該電流開關141與該感測電阻142兩端跨壓(VD)增加。此時,該控制晶片140仍正常工作而固定VS於0.75V,使流經該第一電阻143及該第二電阻144之該驅動電流增加,且該第二電 阻144兩端跨壓提升,以供補償該感測電壓之壓值而降低VS壓值。依克希荷夫定律V=I.R可知,該感測電阻142之阻值固定而VS壓值降低時,流經該感測電阻之該驅動電流(IRcs)隨之降低。換言之,於該發光二極體2跨壓上升時,該驅動電流實際上下降,使該控制電路1藉此實現功率補償之效果,且經實際量測可得,該外部電源3由70V拉升至90V時,該LED燈具之總功耗僅由1.7W微幅提升至1.8W,達恆定功率狀態。
進一步地,由上述推知,當該發光二極體2短路而使該電流開關141及該感測電阻142瞬間承受高壓時,該第二電阻144及該感測電阻142之兩端跨壓亦隨之增加,使該運算放大器1403因其負輸入端之壓值大於其正輸入端之該參考電壓而輸出低電壓,以截止該電流開關而形成短路保護,如此,即可避免該LED燈具受該外部電源3的異常影響而造成損壞。
以上所述僅為舉例性之較佳實施例,而非為限制性者。任何未脫離本發明之精神與範疇,而對其進行之等效修改或變更,均應包含於後附之申請專利範圍中。

Claims (10)

  1. 一種高穩定度LED控制電路,係適用以驅動並調整至少一發光二極體之發光亮度,設有一整流模組、一控制模組及一驅動模組,該整流模組電訊連接一外部電源,該驅動模組電訊連接該整流模組及該發光二極體,該控制模組電訊連接該驅動模組及該發光二極體,且該控制模組具有一控制晶片、一電流開關及一感測電阻,該發光二極體串接該電流開關及該感測電阻,使該感測電阻感測流經該發光二極體之一驅動電流後形成反饋予該控制晶片之一感測電壓,其特徵在於:該高穩定度LED控制電路之該控制模組係具有一第一電阻及一第二電阻,該第一電阻一端耦接該發光二極體而另一端耦接該第二電阻一端及該控制晶片,且該第二電阻另一端耦接該電流開關及該感測電阻,當該發光二極體兩端跨壓增加時,該第二電阻兩端跨壓將隨之增加而補償該感測電阻兩端跨壓,以降低該驅動電流而達恆定功率狀態。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之高穩定度LED控制電路,其中該整流模組係透過一雙向三極閘流體耦接該外部電源,供接收並調整該外部電源之相位導通角,以改變該發光二極體之驅動電流而調整發光亮度。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第2項所述之高穩定度LED控制電路,其中該控制晶片設有一穩壓器、一電壓產生器、一選擇器及一運算放大器,且該穩壓器耦接該 整流模組之輸出端,該選擇器耦接該電壓產生器,該運算放大器之正輸入端耦接該選擇器,負輸入端耦接該第二電阻,而輸出端耦接該電流開關。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第3項所述之高穩定度LED控制電路,更設有一線性調光模組,其係耦接該整流模組之輸出端及該選擇器,供偵測整流之該外部電源而輸出一偵測電壓予該選擇器。
  5. 如申請專利範圍第4項所述之高穩定度LED控制電路,其中,當該偵測電壓大於一上限值時,該選擇器接收該電壓產生器輸出之一參考電壓;當該偵測電壓為介於該上限值與一下限值內時,該選擇器輸出該偵測電壓之一半壓值;當該偵測電壓小於該下限值時,該選擇器輸出一關閉訊號,以保持該發光二極體一基本亮度,使強化該雙向三極閘流體之調光效果。
  6. 如申請專利範圍第5項所述之高穩定度LED控制電路,更設有保持電流模組,其係耦接該整流模組之輸出端及該穩壓器之輸出端,且該穩壓器接收整流之該外部電源後產生一保持訊號,使觸發該保持電流模組輸出一保持電流予該雙向三極閘流體,達確保該雙向三極閘流體正常工作之功效。
  7. 如申請專利範圍第6項所述之高穩定度LED控制電路,其中該保持電流模組具有一第三電阻、一第四電阻、一保持開關及一保持電容,該保持開關為N型金氧半場效電晶體,且該第三電阻一端耦接該整流模組而另一端耦接該保持開關之汲極,又該保 持開關之源極耦接該第四電阻,閘極耦接該穩壓器及該保持電容。
  8. 如申請專利範圍第7項所述之高穩定度LED控制電路,其中,當該保持開關接收該保持訊號而導通時,該第三電阻及該第四電阻承接整流之該外部電源而於該第四電阻兩端形成分壓,以供該保持電容充放形成該保持電流。
  9. 如申請專利範圍第8項所述之高穩定度LED控制電路,其中該驅動模組設有一穩壓電容,其係並接該發光二極體而充放該驅動電流,以增強電路抗雜訊能力。
  10. 如申請專利範圍第9項所述之高穩定度LED控制電路,其中,當該發光二極體短路而使該電流開關及該感測電阻瞬間承受高壓時,該第二電阻及該感測電阻之兩端跨壓亦增加,使該運算放大器之負輸入端之壓值大於其正輸入端之該參考電壓而截止該電流開關,以形成短路保護。
