Abstract

This invention provides a sorting system for performing a sorting of a plurality of leaves of film (3), the system containing a CCD camera (8) for photographing an image, an image processing device (9) for detecting the marks existing on the leaves of film (3) according to the images photographed by the CCD camera and outputting mark detecting signals (CH0, CH1) representing the positions of the marks, a PLC (10) for determining whether or not the marks are provided on each one of the leaves of film (3) according to the mark detecting signals, and a sorting device (11) for sorting the plurality of leaves of film (3) into a group of leaves of film (3) having the marks provided thereon and another group of leaves of film (3) not having the marks provided thereon. By this arrangement the leaves of film (3) can be sorted automatically into the leaves of film having the marks provides thereon and the leaves of film not having the marks provided thereon without a manual work.
