Abstract

The present invention provides a method for simulating the movement of an image measuring apparatus. The method includes the steps of: reading a configuration file from a storage of a computer, the configuration file being configured for storing all vertex coordinates of a image measuring apparatus; reading the vertex coordinates of the image measuring apparatus from the configuration file; drawing a graphics of the image measuring apparatus according to the configuration file; displaying the graphics of the image measuring apparatus on a display device; obtaining motion quantities of the image measuring apparatus when the image measuring apparatus is moved; calculating new vertex coordinates of the image measuring apparatus according to the motion quantities; re-drawing the graphics of the image measuring apparatus according to the new vertex coordinates. A system for simulating the movement of an image measuring apparatus is also provided. The invention can re-draw a graphics of an image measuring apparatus when the image measuring apparatus is moved.
