Abstract

Mask data is generated in a mask data generator (82) according to laser light beam path information on a photosensitive material (12) such that the number of exposure points is identical in each region in the photosensitive material (12) or that the difference in the number of exposure points is small in such regions. Raster image data read out from an image data storage (76) is converted into mirror data in a mirror data generator (78), Then, the mirror data is converted into frame data in a frame data generator (80). The frame data is masked by mask data which is generated in a mask data generator (82). An image is exposed to record in the photosensitive material (12) by driving an exposure head (30).
