Abstract

A USB device data transmission rate measuring system and method thereof are disclosed. First, the present invention automatically searches a USB device information list to select a USB device to be tested. Then, through a kernel mode, the present invention directly receives and intercepts data packets sent by an application program under a user mode, so as to determine whether exists the test activation information of the USB device to be tested. If the test activation information exists, the present invention drives a USB device test program of the kernel mode, thereby calculating the data transmission rate according to test data and a testing time of the USB device to be tested. The present invention saves unnecessary exchange time of transmitting data under the kernel mode and the user mode by getting rid of the constraint from the operating system against the USB data transmission procedure, and unifies a data transmission rate testing method, thereby achieving the objective of automatically and precisely measuring the USB data transmission rate.
