Abstract

When the pressure of a high-pressure fluid is rapidly reduced with a control valve under high-flow rate conditions, the temperature of the fluid per se is rapidly lowered by the expansion of the gas, possibly resulting in lowering of the temperature of the downstream part of the control valve to a value below the freezing point. When water is contained in the gas, the water is frozen on the surface of a flow path in the spacing of valve seat of valve hole as a vena contracta/valve body/valve seat and, consequently, the movement of the valve body is hindered, often resulting in troubles of fluid control. This unfavorable phenomenon leads to, for example, pulsation of gas, abnormal vibration of the control valve, erosion of the valve seat, and noise, making it difficult to maintain normal operation of an air feed system. It is important that, in control equipment for fluid pressure, fluid control be possible even when the vena contracta near the valve seat is frozen. There is provided a fluid control unit characterized in that an isolation valve (2), a control valve (3), and a pressure sensor (4) are provided in an integral form along the fluid path of the control object and the isolation valve (2) and the control valve (3) are automatically controlled based on the detected pressure signal of the pressure sensor (4).
