Abstract

An optical wavelength multiplexing light source is provided in which the light emitted from a plurality of light source is coupled without the use of optical means so as to obtain wavelength multiplexing light with uniform light illuminance. An optical wavelength multiplexer 4, in which the optical waveguide path 3 extended from the emitting ends of a plurality of optical waveguide path 3 is integrated, is used to combine the light incident in the optical waveguide path 3 so as to form wavelength multiplexing light. The wavelength multiplexing light emitted from the optical wavelength multiplexer 4 is irradiated into the rod-integrator 5, and the wavelength multiplexing light is outputted with the light illuminance being uniformized.
