Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for producing barium titanyl oxalate powder and a method for producing titanium based perovskite type ceramic raw powder, more particularly, the present invention is to provide a method by which barium titanyl oxalate powder having a high substitution ratio of another alkaline earth metal element substituted with Ba in a Ba site can industrially and advantageously be produced and to provide an industrial and advantageous method for producing titanium based perovskite type ceramic raw powder using the barium titanyl oxalate powder. The method for producing the barium titanyl oxalate powder is a method for producing the barium titanyl oxalate represented by general formula (1) Ba1-xMexTiO(C2O4)2.4H2O (1) (wherein, Me represents at least one or more kinds of metal elements selected from Ca, Sr and Mg; and x has a value of 0 < x ≤ 0.2). In the barium titanyl oxalate, a part of barium elements are substituted with the other alkaline earth metal element. The method for producing the barium titanyl oxalate powder is characterized as follows. A solution (solution A) containing titanium tetrachloride and oxalic acid is added to a solution (solution B) containing a barium compound and the Me to carry out a reaction.
