Abstract

This invention relates to a force-reduced type stapler, which includes a bottom stand, a base, an operation (or stapling) device, a position-locking device, and a staple leg-bending device. The base has a first end and a second end; the first end is equipped with a stapling slot and the second end is so installed on rear of the bottom stand that the base can swing and tilt with respect to the bottom stand. The operation device is installed on the second end of the base and has a pivoting relationship with respect to the base so as to be able to perform the stapling function. The operation device includes a fixed stand mounted on the second end of the base, a press handle pivoted on the top of the fixed stand, and a staple cassette installed inside the fixed stand. The position-locking device includes a positioning piece and a linkage that contacts with the positioning piece. The positioning piece is slidably installed in the bottom stand and contacts with the base. The linkage is pivoted on the second end of the bottom stand and can be controlled by the operation device for activating the positioning piece to slide so as to fasten or release the base on or from the bottom stand. The staple leg-bending device is installed in the stapling slot of the base for cutting staple legs and includes a plate seat installed under stapling slot, a cutting member located at the middle of the plate seat, and two bending arms capable of performing cutting function with the cutting member, and two force-saving arms that can apply force on the two bending arms. By means of this design, the force will not be wasted during the stapling action, and the force required to bend the staple legs can be reduced as well.
