Abstract

To provide a footwear capable of firmly holding the foot and being able to wear and take off easily, consisting of an insole portion and an upper portion extending over the insole portion with a height to shroud the ankle. The upper portion comprises a lower upper member 12 and a higher upper member 20. The lower upper member 12 has a tongue piece 13 for covering the instep of the foot, left and right side vamps 14a, 14b with a height to shroud the ankle which decreases towards the rear gradually, and a heel piece 17 for connecting the left and right side vamps 14a, 14b. The higher upper piece 20, having a height to shroud the ankle from the position overlapping the higher area of the lower upper member 12, is layered, at the middle part thereof, to the right side vamp 14a of lower upper member 12, the heel piece 17 and the left side vamp 14b sequentially and locally; and the securing piece 27 of the lower upper piece 12 being jointed with the left side vamp 14b is detachably connected to the face fastener 34.
