Abstract

The present invention provides a connector with a lock mechanism capable of preventing bundled wires of a harness from being entangled with or stuck hooked on a lock arm when used for the wire harness, without hindering a fit-in connection with a mate side connector. The connector with the lock mechanism comprises female/male connectors 1, 2 making fit-in connection with each other; and, a lock arm 7 having a locking part 25 fitted at one housing 4 and a locking claw 13 engaged with the locking part 25 fitted at the other housing 3 in free bending through an elastically deformable hinge part 9. A coupling piece 11 which can be cut off is fitted between a movable part 10 of a free-end side of the lock arm 7 and the other housing 3, and the coupling piece 11 is so structured to be cut off by a bending movement of the lock arm 7 at the fit-in connection of the female/male connectors 1, 2.
