Abstract

This invention relates to a toughness-modified transparent polystyrene resin composition, which comprises: (1) 1 ~ 55 wt% of polystyrene (PS) resin; and (2) 99 ~ 45 wt% of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) copolymer and/or styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR); wherein the aforementioned resin composition has a number average molecular weight (Mn) of 95,000 ~ 110,000, or a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 120,000 ~ 195,000, and the reflective index (RI) of the resin composition is 1.35 ~ 2.15. After blending processing, each constituent of the aforementioned composition can be uniformly dispersed and the toughness of resin composition can be enhanced under the premise of maintaining composition's transparency.
