Abstract
A context search system and method of computer file searches an original file stored in a computer in accordance with a searching data to identify a corresponding file in accordance with the searching data. The system includes an acquisition module acquiring meaningful data to be searched from the original file; a markup language conversion module converting each data to be searched into a file to be searched having the markup language format; a storage module storing the files to be searched in the computer; an identification module identifying a corresponding file from the file to be searched in accordance with the search data; and a connection module connecting to the corresponding original file in accordance with the file to be searched. Accordingly, a meaningful data to be searched pre-fetched from an existing original file having all sorts of formats, and a file to be searched containing the markup language format of the original file storage address is generated in accordance with the data to be searched. Consequently, the system can directly search the data inputted by user. There is no need to perform word-by-word and chapter-by-chapter search in each original file, thereby significantly saving of searching time is achieved.
