Abstract
Sağlanmakta olan bir termal mekanik difüzyon sistemi ve yöntemidir. Mevcut buluşa uygun olarak, gerilim altındaki bir fiberin bir ucu, fiberin bir kısmı ısıtılırken titretilir. Fiberin bir ucunun bir itme-çekme hareketi, ısıyı alan bir ısı bölgesinde bulunan fiberin bir kısmında katkıların artmış ( ya da hızlandırılmış) difüzyonuna sebep olur. Titreşimin genliği ve frekansı kontrol edilerek, bir veya daha fazla fiberin bir difüzyon profili hassasiyetle belirlenebilir. Daha dar termal profillere sahip ısı kaynakları, difüzyon profilini dikte etmede daha fazla hassasiyet sağlayabilir. Bir örnek olarak, bu özellikle, uç uca eklenecek olan bir fiberin içerisinde difüzyon sivriliği oluşturmak için faydalı olabilir, burada sivrilik, fiber çekirdeğinin ısıl genleşmesinin bir sonucudur. Difüzyon, tipik olandan çok daha hızlı gerçekleşebilir.
