Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of protecting plants from a pathogen attack by applying a conventional germicidal to immunomodulated plants. Plants with immunomodules are plants in which SAR is activated and are therefore called "SAR-On" plants. Immunomodellated plants can be provided in at least three ways, by applying a chemical inducer of SAR, such as BTH, INA or SA, to plants by an selective production vehicle based on the constructive expression of the SAR genes and / or disease resistance phenotype, or one or more such as a functional form of the NIMI gene. By transforming plants with the SAR gene and applying the micro killer to a common immunomodulated plant, the disease resistance is unexpectedly synergistically increased, in other words, the disease resistance level is higher than the expected disease resistance.
