Abstract

A solar collector comprises a casing (10) inside which a solar energy absorber (16) is placed. A glass plate (12) is fixed on to the casing (20) in a sealing way. A sealing material (28) is used to provide sealing from the casing to the glass plate (12), and vice versa. A groove (24) is employed with an aim to collect water passing through the sealing material (24). In this context, the glass plate (12) at least almost extends over the groove (24) and the sealing material (18) is placed over a face of a wall of the casing frame (20) and the fore edge of the glass plate (12).
