Description

To implement the proposed method, the following operations are carried out in this sequence: a potassium pyrosulfate and vanadium pentoxide melt is prepared; spent sulfuric acid is fed to the surface of the melt, pre-treated with air, or acid and air are simultaneously bubbled through the melt; the resulting process gas is tapped. Example. In a laboratory reactor, a melt of potassium pyrosulfate and vanadium pentoxide is prepared and treated with air. Then spent sulfuric acid is fed to the surface of the melt at a rate of 120 g / h. The resulting process gas contains SO2 and ZOZ. Sulfuric acid and sulfuric anhydride are determined on a Bl-2 apparatus. The analysis is based on the dissolution of gases in distilled water, followed by titration of the resulting acids with a solution of iodine and NaOH. Mechanical and organic impurities were not found in gas and condensate. The results are presented in the table.

Air in a mixture with acid is bubbled through the melt: air consumption is 40 l / h, acid consumption is 80 g / h.

The use of the proposed method in comparison with the known one allows to simplify the regeneration process due to the preparation of sulfuric anhydride of high purity in one stage.
