Description

греве контактирующих друг с другом алюмини  и меди.heating of aluminum and copper in contact with each other.

The deposition of the coating helps to protect the surfaces being welded from oxidation, provides a stable amount of electrical resistance in the contact of the part-detail and improves the stability in terms of the strength of the welded joints.

In addition, the introduction of nickel into the composition of the coating material provides a comprehensive alloying of the welding point, which increases the strength of welded joints.

Contact spot welding was carried out on sheets of aluminum of the АД1 brand with a thickness of 2 mm, on the contacting surfaces of which nickel was coated + 30 wt. % copper. The thickness of the chemical applied coating was 4-5 µm. For the purpose of obtaining comparative data, spot welding of the same sheets was carried out, on the adjoining surfaces of which, chemically, a coating of pure nickel 4-5 microns thick was applied. A comparison of the results obtained showed that with the same thickness of the coating to form a weld point in the case of nickel alloy deposition + 30 wt. % copper was required at 15% less current and less duration of its occurrence. The strength of the welded joints obtained after deposition of the nickel-copper alloy was approximately equal to the strength of the joints obtained after chemical nickel plating.

Using this method of preparation for resistance spot welding of products from aluminum and its alloys will reduce the cost of preparation and reduce energy consumption.
