There are known methods for obtaining microwires in glass insulation by the method of A. V. Ulitovsky, in which the zone of formation of the Microwire is affected by ultrasonic vibrations of one frequency. In this case, this effect is carried out either on the molten metal (through the feed rod or through the glass tube) or on the microwire core in the zone of its crystallization through a stream of cooling fluid. These methods do not make it possible to obtain a microwire with the necessary physical mechanics.
The proposed method provides for the effect on the microbial formation of two oscillations with different frequencies. In particular, one of these vibrations affects the molten metal through a glass tube, and the other - on the core of the microwire in the zone of its crystallization through a stream of cooling fluid.
The drawing shows a device allowing the implementation of the desired process.
4.The microwire / is obtained by drawing out a capillary from the softened end of tube 2 with liquid metal 3 melted by high-frequency currents induced by induction O-m 4.
S.Ultrasonic vibrations of one frequency (lower, in particular, 18--20 kHz) are inputted into the microwire core in the crystallization zone through a stream of crystallizing fluid 5 voiced by the radiator 6 connected to the ultrasonic oscillation source 7 fed by the ultrasonic oscillator S.
10.Ultrasonic vibrations of a different frequency (higher, in particular, 25-30 kHz) are supplied to the molten metal zone through a glass tube 2, the material of which is sled waveguide. An acoustic contact between the radiator 9 and the glass tube 2 is made through the oil layer 10.
12.The source of ultrasonic vibrations is a magnetically-striction transducer 1, powered by an ultrasonic generator 12.
Irradiating the microwire formation zone with ultrasonic vibrations of two frequencies simultaneously allows one to obtain a fine-grained metal core structure, which increases the mechanical strength of both the microwire and the glass pane with the metal. It also improves the stability of the microwire and lowers the TCR. The use of this method of casting microwires in the industry is a definite step in the direction of serial production of microwires of increased operational and technical characteristics.
