Description

The invention of Otosit to a method for producing colloidal solutions of iron hydroxide and can be used in the manufacture of metal oxide anodes. A known method for producing colloidal solutions of iron hydroxide by peptization with hydrochloric acid to a pH of 3.11. The concentration of the solutions is 70 g / l Fe (OH) h. The solution is stable for 2.5 hours. In order to increase the concentration and stabilization of COLLOID solutions of iron hydroxide, peptization with hydrochloric acid according to the proposed method is carried out to a pH of 1.5-1.9. Data confirming the effectiveness of the proposed method are presented in the table. Example. 450 ml of distilled water are added to 267 g of ferric chloride. To the resulting solution is poured in small portions with unmixed 430-450 ml of 7.5 M. ammonia solution to rP 5-6. The precipitate of iron hydroxide is sucked off on a Buchner funnel and washed several times with distilled water. The freshly prepared precipitate is transferred to a flask, to which 26 ml of concentrated hydrochloric acid (specific gravity 1.77-1.75) is added. Peptizing the precipitate is completed in 1-2 days. The concentration of the resulting solution is 85-90 g / l.
