Description
The known accelerating systems of linear induction accelerators are a series of series-connected transformers, in which independent primary circuits consisting of energy storage devices located outside the accelerator, kmmutatori, connecting cii, excite magnetic fluxes in toroid-shaped ferromagnetic cores.
In order to increase the transformable power of the operating frequency and increase the cost of the accelerator, an induction linear accelerator is proposed in which all elements of the primary circuit are combined into a non-iron mountain-like magnetic core grasped by the secondary circuit, creating and holding a variable magnetic source inducing a vortex electrical field.
FIG. Figure 1 shows one of the variants of the design of the iron-free accelerating system (other variants may differ in the mutual arrangement of the elements of the magnetic conductor); in fig. 2 is one of the variants of the accelerating system, in which the switching in each magnetic core is carried out by one spark discharge placed in the gap between the high-voltage band of the ring capacitor and the grounded wall AB.

The cut resistance 2 ring capacitor I together with the connecting conductors of each transformer form a toroidal primary circuit. The ABCD grounded shield serves as a secondary circuit in each unit of the accelerating system.

пцина провод щих стеиок первичного контура должна быть больше глубины скин-сло electric field E, which is concentrated by the secondary circuit ABCD in the accelerating gap AD. The magnetic flux is retained inside the primary circuit - an iron-free magnetic circuit creating bias conduction currents that create it. In order to avoid active losses, the skin of the conducting steiks of the primary circuit must be greater than the depth of the skin layer.
Предмет изобретени Пндукционный линейный ускоритель, еодержащий серию последовательно еоединенных ускор ющих трансформаторов, накопители, коммутирующие устройства и независимый источник питани трансформаторов, отличающийс тем, что, с целью повыщени рабочей частоты и трансформируемой мощности, в каждом трансформаторе первичный контур выполнен в виде тороидального витка, образованного кольцевым конденсатором, коммутирующим устройством, например, кольцевого тина, и соединительными проводами; а вторичный контур, заземленный, также тороидальной формы, обхватывает первичный контур, соединенный через сопротивление с импульсным источником питани .at the frequency of the discharge current Y. In this case, it is possible to use one of the walls of the primary circuit as part of the secondary one. For iron-free toroidal primary circuits, the minimum scatter of the geometry of capacitive storage cells and commuting cells is minimal. The ring capacitor can be made up of low-inductance capacitors, for example, ceramic type K 15-4, and the switch can be a ring vacuum discharge or it can consist of several parallel-connected spark gaps located around the circumference. However, when operating at high frequencies (22 5 MHz), the existing vacuum annular arresters do not provide the required accuracy of response, and replacing the annular arrester with several spark probes that provide the required synchronization complicates the design of the accelerating circuit. A concentrated parasitic inductance is present in the magnetic circuit, in which the switching is carried out by a single spark discharge. It consists of the inductance of a spark, the coaxial of the arrester, and a portion of the inductance of the two-wire line formed by the grounded electrode of the arrester and the inner cylinder AE of a rectangular torus section, but it can be made small compared to the total inductance of the primary circuit. This can be achieved by reducing the length of the two-wire line, the coaxial, and the discharge spark. The most acceptable from the point of view of switching accuracy and inductance requirements is a controlled spark discharge under pressure. In the housing of transformers forming an accelerating system, high-voltage insulation is required, for example, from polyethylene. It is known that in an electric field, existing dielectrics age, i.e., their electrical insulating properties are reduced, and the electrical strength of insulating elements improves with a short-term application of voltage. In the proposed design, in order to increase the service life of insulating capacitive accumulators and increasing transformable voltage, pulse charging of capacitive accumulators is applied, which are discharged simultaneously by using the switches of each transformer to obtain a predetermined voltage. Such accelerating systems are particularly advantageous for using linear induction accelerators to obtain single or eury pulse current pulses of charged particles with a large (–1kA) amplitude, operating at a low repetition rate (0.1 Hz). The subject of the invention is a pneumatic linear accelerator containing a series of sequentially connected accelerating transformers, accumulators, switching devices and an independent transformer power source, characterized in that, in order to increase the operating frequency and transformable power, in each transformer the primary circuit is formed as a toroid coil formed ring capacitor, switching device, for example, ring tin, and connecting wires; and a secondary circuit, grounded, also toroidal, encloses a primary circuit connected through a resistance to a pulsed power source.
