FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for synthesis of liquid thiocols. Liquid thiocols are synthesized by polycondensation reaction of di-(β-chloroethyl)-formal and 1,2,3-trichloropropane with sodium tetrasulfide in an aqueous medium followed by desulfonation of obtained tetrasulfide polymer with 1/2 - 1/3 mole of sodium hydroxide per 1 mole of parent monomers to form high-molecular disulfide thiocol. Then cleavage is carried directly after its formation in the presence of 1.73-2.14 mole of sodium sulfite per 1 mole of parent monomers in organic solvent medium followed by coagulation, washing out of thiocol and distillation of solvent. Invention provides simplifying the technological process. Invention can be used in chemical industry, in making hermetic materials, in aviation and ship-building industry and building technique.EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.5 ex
