Known steel is characterized by an insufficiently high level of mechanical properties and a low level of resistance to alternating loads. In addition, this steel is not economical because it contains vanadium, and the introduction of vanadium can cause a decrease in toughness, especially at low temperatures.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the resistance to alternating loads while ensuring a high complex of mechanical properties.

Barium in the amount of 0.001-0.03% is introduced into the proposed steel in order to reduce the contamination of the metal with inclusions, change the shape and pattern of distribution of non-metallic inclusions. Barium provides the formation of small globules, which contributes to the increase in the resistance of alternating loads of parts made from this steel. In addition, barium has a significant effect on the nature of the inclusions. So, after the addition of barium in the amount of 0.001-0.03% in the phase composition of the inclusions, the amount of alumina and spinel decreases and the amount of silicates increases, which also favorably affects the increase in steel resistance by alternating loads.
The presence of barium in an amount of at least 0.001%, along with the provision of a favorable shape, size and composition of non-metallic inclusions, also contributes to
обеспечению гарантированного заданного нижнего предела содержани азота в стали предлагаемого состава, что важно дл получени мелкозернистой нитридной фазы, и, как следствие, повышению сопротивлени providing a guaranteed predetermined lower limit of the nitrogen content in the steel of the proposed composition, which is important for obtaining a fine-grained nitride phase, and, as a consequence, increasing the resistance
Barium content less than 0.001% does not give the desired effect. To obtain non-metallic inclusions of the required shape and size, its content in an amount of up to 0.03% is sufficient. Further increase in barium content is ineffective and economically inexpedient.
Sulfur in an amount of 0,010-0,035% enhances the effect of barium on the formation of non-metallic inclusions of favorable shape and size. A sulfur content of less than 0.010% does not have the desired effect. Sulfur content in excess of 0.035% is impractical due to the possible reduction in
механических свойств, в частности пластичности и ударной в зкости.mechanical properties, in particular plasticity and toughness.
In the proposed steel, the chromium content is increased to 0.95-1.25% and manganese to 0.9-1.2%, which is caused by the need to increase the mechanical properties and wear resistance. The chromium content is less than 0.95% and manganese is less than 0.90% does not provide the specified level of strength and wear resistance. Increased chromium content more
1.25% is impractical because it leads to a decrease in the level of plasticity, and when the content of manganese is more than 1.2%, a decrease in toughness may occur.
The proposed steel also increased
содержание никел до 0,5-1,0% , что обеспечивает возможность повышени содержани хрома и марганца до указанного уровн без снижени пластичности.the nickel content is up to 0.5-1.0%, which makes it possible to increase the chromium and manganese content to the specified level without reducing the ductility.
Nickel content less than 0.5% does not give
Increasing the nickel content by more than 1.0% may cause a deterioration in the steel processability and is not economically feasible.
2.The chemical composition and properties of the proposed (2 and 3) and known (4) steels are given in Tables 1 and 2.
As follows from Table 2, the proposed steel has enhanced mechanical properties and resistance to alternating loads, in particular, the fatigue limit.
The metallurgical technology of the proposed steel does not differ from the production technology of known steels.
