A known method for producing reaction products of tall oil acids with maleic anhydride at 200 ° C at a 1: 1 molar ratio in an inert atmosphere without a catalyst. The yield of the reaction products is not high and makes up 65% of the mass of the reaction mixture. The disadvantage of this method is also the difficulty of separating the target product from the unreacted residue and the fire hazard of the process.
В качестве терпеновых угле- водородов используют скипидар живичный (ГОСТ 1571-82), скипидар экстракционный (ОСТ 16-266-85) и скипидар сульфатный очищенный (ОСТ 13-715-81).The closest technical solution is a method for producing a thermo maleic resin by reacting terpene hydrocarbons with maleic anhydride in equimolar amounts to 150-190 ° C in the presence of a catalyst-phosphoric anhydride in an amount of 0.05-0.15 wt.% Of terpene hydrocarbons, followed by separation of the target product and drying it. Gum turpentine (GOST 1571-82), extraction turpentine (OST 16-266-85) and purified sulphate turpentine (OST 13-715-81) are used as terpene hydrocarbons.
This method provides the product of the interaction of terpene hydrocarbons with maleic anhydride with a yield of 91-94.1%. However, the known method has the following disadvantages:
сложность процесса получени терпе- но-малеиновой смолы, требующего использовани катализатора - фосфорного ангидрида и отгонки избыточного количества малеинового ангидрида и непрореагиро- вавшего скипидара острым паром, а также контрол содержани малеинового ангидрида в смеси;the complexity of the process of obtaining a terpentally maleic resin, which requires the use of a catalyst — phosphoric anhydride and the removal of excess maleic anhydride and unreacted turpentine by direct steam, as well as control of the content of maleic anhydride in the mixture;
недостаточно высокое качество целевого продукта - флюса;insufficient quality of the target product - flux;
длительность процесса взаимодействи терпеновых углеводородов с малеиновым .ангидридом 8-12 ч;the duration of the reaction of terpene hydrocarbons with maleic anhydride is 8-12 hours;
использование дефицитного малеинового в сравнительно большом количестве - не менее 41,9 мас.% и дорогосто щего продукта - скипидара.the use of scarce maleic in a relatively large amount - not less than 41.9 wt.% and expensive product - turpentine.
The aim of the invention is to simplify the process technology, improving the quality of the target product.
This goal is achieved by the proposed method of producing modified terpenoids, which consists in treating the terpenoids with maleic anhydride at an elevated temperature, a distinctive feature of which is. that as terpenoids use rosin oil from the production of rosin esters and products

1.The remaining examples (4-9) are made analogously to example 1 and differ in mass fractions of rosin oil and maleic anhydride, temperature and processing time. The data of the experiments are given in table.1.
PRI me R 10 (prototype). In the reaction flask with a capacity of 0.5 l. Equipped with a water mixer, thermometer and reflux condenser, 176.8 g of turpentine turpentine (GOST 1571-82), 127.4 g of maleic anhydride and 0.1768 (0.1% by weight) of phosphoric anhydride are loaded. After loading, the mixture is heated with stirring to 170 ° C and maintained at this temperature until the content of free maleic anhydride in the reaction mixture reaches 2.0%. After that, maleic is distilled.
Выход целевого продукта составл ет 92,2% от массы исходного сырь .anhydride and turpentine with live steam, and then drying the terpene-maleic resin at 170 ° C for 1 hour. 280.5 g of a light yellow color of the terpene-maleic resin with a softening temperature of 56.5 ° C is obtained. is 92.2% by weight of the feedstock.
1, it can be seen that the optimum amount of maleic anhydride in the reaction mixture is 16-21 wt.% (Examples 1-3). A decrease in the proportion of maleic anhydride to less than 16 wt.% (Example 7) leads to a deterioration in the quality of the modified terpenoids, and an increase in excess of 21 wt.% Is accompanied by a decrease in product yield (Example 8).
The optimal processing time for rosin oil with maleic anhydride is 2.5 hours, since reducing the processing time to 2 hours (example 6) or increasing the time to 3.5 hours (example 9) leads to a deterioration in the quality of the modified terpenoids.
When increasing (Example 5) or decreasing (Example 4) the treatment temperature against the optimum range of 190-200 ° C, the temperature softens the modified terpenoids, since at treatment temperatures above 200 ° C, partial thermal decomposition of products occurs, and at a temperature below 190 ° C, the completeness of the interaction of terpenoids with maleic anhydride is not achieved.

Flux activity was determined at 250 ± 5 ° C as the ratio of the flow area of POS-61 solder with a mass of 0.1 ± 0.05 g on a copper plate under the influence of the tested flux to the flow area of solder under the action of 30t pine rosin in 70 g of ethanol.
Samples of the modified terpenoids were prepared as follows.
1.Sample 1.
1.In a three-neck flask with a capacity of 200 ml, equipped with a stirrer, a thermometer and a refrigerator, 84 g of rosin-based oils (d 1,058, Q.h. 101 mg KOH per 1 g of the product) are placed. Heat up to 100 ° C, turn off the stirrer and, heating for 0.5 h to 195 ° C, distill off the water (until its evolution stops). 16 g of maleic anhydride are loaded and the mixture is kept under stirring for 2 hours at 195 ° C, after which the volatile portion is distilled off for 0.5 hours, cooled to 140 ° C and poured into the container. The conditions for the preparation of the remaining samples (2–9) are given in Table. one.

The insulation resistance of printed circuit boards soldered with test fluxes at 255 ± 5 ° С by dipping in POS-61 solder for 3 s was measured in a moisture chamber after holding for 1 hour at 20 ° С and humidity 93 ± 3% (without remove the boards from the chamber with an E6-13A terraommeter. Each sample of flux was tested for 5 printed circuit boards with radio elements.
In tab. 2 shows the test results. As can be seen from the table. 2 fluxes based on modified terpenoids have a higher activity than flux based on rosin and provide high-quality tinning, as well as a control sample of flux based on terpene-maleic resin. In contrast to the flux based on the terpene-maleic resin, the flux based on the modified terpenoids does not impair the insulation resistance of the dielectric, which is an important advantage of this flux. This makes it possible to recommend replacement of expensive and scarce rosin with modified terpenoids in the FKSp flux formulation.
Предложенный способ получени модифицированных терпеноидов позвол ет получить продукт с выходом 95-96% и температурой разм гчени 67-72° С, а также получить высококачественный продукт дл замены дорогосто щей и дефицитной канифоли сосновой живичной в рецептурах канифольных флюсов;The proposed method for producing modified terpenoids allows obtaining a product with a yield of 95-96% and a softening temperature of 67-72 ° C, as well as obtaining a high-quality product for replacing expensive and scarce pine gum rosin in rosin flux formulations;
