Изобретение относитс  к производству пиломатериалов и может быть использовано в лесопильно-деревообрабатывающей промышленности. Цель изобретени  - увеличение выхода пилопродукции. Способ раскро  хлыстов на пилопродукцию включает подачу хлыстов к механизму 2 резани , определение зоны 3 первого реза-в пределах от минимальной до максимальной длины заданного бревна, измерение вершинных диаметров возможных бревен дискретно с заданным шагом, определение выхода пилопродукции из них по приведенной формуле , выбор сечени , в котором расчетна  величина выхода пилопродукции максимальна , и производство первого реза. После этого аналогично устанавливают зону следующего реза и по максимальному значению выходов определ ют координату следующего реза.5 ил. 1 табл.The invention relates to the production of lumber and can be used in the sawmill and woodworking industry.
