The cuvette 1, depending on the type of radiators 3 (sound, light, etc.), may be transparent or opaque. Depending on the deposition method (gravity, centrifugal) of the material under study.
8the shape (rectangular, cylindrical) and dimensions of the cuvette 1 are selected. The emitters 3 can be point, ring linear and are located both inside and outside the cell 1. Opposite emitters 3, corresponding receivers 4 are installed. Connected via amplifiers 5 to electric type comparators 6 with a controlled comparison standard. The outputs of both comparators 6 are connected to the inputs of a comparison device 7 and to a numeral device 8.

8.The device under consideration contains two interpolators 10, the outputs of which are connected to the control inputs of the comparators 6, one of the outputs connected to the outputs of the comparators 6, and the others to the output of the computing device 8.
The device works as follows.
Before starting work, the sediment liquid is poured into the cuvette 1. In this case, the centrifugal sedimentation method is chosen, therefore the cuvette 1 has the ability to rotate around its axis. When the cuvette 1 is rotated, the sedimentation liquid takes the form of a coaxial cylinder. The sample to be analyzed from the loading device 2 is fed into the cuvette 1 so that it is evenly distributed over the inner surface of the coaxial cylinder. Under the action of a centrifugal field, the sample particles move from the inner surface of the coaxial cylinder of the sublimation fluid to the wall of the cuvette 1. In the device, two pairs of ring emitters 3 and receivers 4 are opposite each other so that the light beam from the radiator is oriented strictly perpendicular to the direction of movement of the particles . In this case, the size of the unwrapped light beam must be not less than the corresponding cell size, i.e. the light beam should completely overlap the cross section of the cuvette. The device is based on extinction when the particles suspended in the cell weaken the intensity of the light beam between the radiator 3 and the receiver 4. After the particles are deposited, the medium is lightened, while the illumination changes are perceived by the receivers 4, which convert the light fluxes into electrical signals by voltage and they are transmitted to amplifiers 5. At the output of the latter, two signals are shifted in time, which are received by the comparators 6. When analyzing the first sample, the comparators 6 cut off the interference caused by fluctuations s signals coming from the amplifier 5. With the comparators 6 electrical signals shifted in time are supplied to a comparator 7 which generates an error signal. This signal is transmitted to an automatic recorder 9, in which it is converted into a digital signal, which is the beginning of the registration of the measurement. A digital signal characterizing the time shift of the signals of the receivers 4 comes from the recorder 9 to the computing device 8, in which the maximum particle size of the analyzed sample is determined using the Stokes formula, the value of which specifies the value of the minimum particle size at the time of the analysis and the frequency of measurements conditions of particle size, percentage, etc.). At the end of the analysis, the signal from the computing device 8 enters the recorder 9 and the measurement registration is completed. When analyzing subsequent samples, they are loaded with the help of device 2 into the same sedimentation liquid at the signal of computing device 8 that the registration of the measurement of the previous sample has finished. When the second sample is loaded from receivers 4 via amplifiers 5, the comparators 6 receive signals with a shift in time characterizing the total light fluxes from two samples. The signals from the computing device 8 about the end of the measurement registration instruct the interpolators 10 to receive the signal from the outputs of the respective comparators 6, as a result of which signals go to the control inputs of the comparators 6 that characterize the law of predicted sedimentation of the particles of the first sample.
Thus, from the outputs of the comparators 6, signals that characterize only the second sample, i.e. the effect of the first sample is eliminated, which ensures the accuracy of the analysis of the last sample.
