Abstract

FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparation of fibrous material from mycellium mass of mushrooms which may find use in pulp-and-paper industry for manufacturing paper, cardboard, and special articles, in textile industry for manufacturing threads, yarn, and nonwoven materials, and in chemical industry as heavy metal ion sorbent, for microfiltration and dialysis, as substrate to immobilize enzymes, for preparing catalysts, for purifying waste water, as drug carrier, etc. Invention increases elasticity and yield of fibrous material to 76-93% owing to that mycellium mass of basedial mushrooms is treated with alkali solution, washed with water, and successively treated with water- miscible organic solvents according to lowering of their boiling points followed by drying target product. EFFECT: increased quality and yield. 2 tbl
