Изобретение позвол ет контролировать перпендикул рность осей вращающихс валков прокатных станов и бумагоделательных машин заданному направлению. Цель изобретени - повышение точности выверки. Направл ют световой пучок от источника 4 на экран 5, установленный перпендикул рно заданному направлению. Берут два отсчета по измерительной линейке экрана 5 дл двух положений контролируемого тела через 180°. Поворачивают шток 2 в кронштейне 1, закрепленном на торце тела 7 вращени , до равенства обоих отсчетов. Затем переворачивают источник 4 света на оси штока 2 на 180° и берут вновь два отсчета на экране 5. Разворачивают источник 4 света вокруг оси, перпендикул рной оси штока 2, добива сь равенства отсчетов и выставл тем самым световой луч источника 4 света перпендикул рно оси штока 2. Затем поворачивают тело 7 вращени и на двух экранах 5 и 6, расположенных с обеих сторон перпендикул рно заданному направлению вращени тела 7, последовательно наблюдают положени следа п тна на них. Разворачивают тело 7 вращени до тех пор, пока отсчет на одной измерительной линейке экрана 5 не будет равен отсчету на другой измерительной линейке второго экрана 6.
