Abstract
This invention relates to a measurement technique. It can be most effectively used to measure weak light fluxes in a wide dynamic range, for example, in polarization measurements. The purpose of the invention is to increase speed, reduce noise in the measurement mode of weak flows. This is achieved by the parallel operation of two operational amplifiers in the "exact" and "coarse" channels. When operating, the voltage in the "exact" channel must not exceed the saturation voltage for the corresponding op amp. For this purpose, a switching element is introduced, which blocks the resistor in the feedback circuit of the operational amplifier of the exact channel as it approaches the saturation voltage. This mode of operation is provided by the control unit, for example, an amplifier with an adjustable gain factor. At the same time, the speed is increased due to parallel measurement in both channels and lack of time spent on the choice of the measurement range. The noise is reduced by eliminating the noise component at the transition contacts in the mode of measuring weak light fluxes. 1 il.

With a further increase in the measured power, information is removed from the second output (coarse channel) of the photometer. As the control unit 6, an amplifier with adjustable gain can be used, and an electronic relay can be used as the switching element 7.
8.At low optical power levels, when the influence of the light meter noise is most significant, resistor 2 is connected to the negative feedback circuit of opamp 4 and photocurrent does not flow through the contacts of the switching element 7, i.e. the component of photometer noise is eliminated due to the transition contacts of element 8.
Due to the parallel operation of operational amplifiers 4 and 5, a high photometer performance, a wide dynamic range of optical power measurements, and a decrease in noise level during measurements of weak light fluxes are provided.
