Description
The invention relates to metallurgy, specifically to methods for processing metal waste, and can be used in the production of high quality steels and alloys.
The aim of the invention is the complete removal of mineral-organic impurities from the surface of metal waste and a reduction in the loss of alloying elements.
The heat treatment is carried out in two stages: first in an atmosphere of air under oxidizing conditions at 500–600 ° C until complete removal of mineral-organic impurities, and then at a reducing atmosphere of hydrogen at 800-1100 ° C.
When metal waste is heated to 500–600 ° C in an oxidizing atmosphere of air, organic pollutants are sublimated from the surface of metal waste and are fully oxidized. In the initial peribd of aging, the layer of oxides formed on the surface of the treated waste prevents the diffusion of carbon into the metal. At the subsequent holding time at these temperatures, the carbon does not diffuse into the metal, as it is in the compounds of the products of complete combustion

(Sb). At a temperature less, the oxidation process of the products of sublimation and surface oxidation is low-intensity; therefore, it is possible to release carbon from the surface of metal waste in the solid phase, and during the subsequent reduction stage of treatment at a higher temperature, they diffuse into the metal (tabLo 1). Top-Q Research Institute temperature limit (600 ° C) due to intense oxidation of the metal. Heating the waste at temperatures above 600 ° C requires a significant increase in the time for the reducing stage of the heat treatment (Table 1). The first stage of the process ends after the removal of mineral-organic contaminants.
5 The holding at 800-1100 C in the second 20 stage in a hydrogen medium is limited by the time required for heating the metal waste and reducing the metals from the oxides. The lower limit of the holding temperature of the reduction stage of the heat-25 treatment () is caused by the beginning of an intensive reduction of the oxides of Fe, Ni, Co, Mo, Mn, W (Table 2). The reduction of Cr, Si, Ti in a hydrogen atmosphere is particularly active in JQ at temperatures above 900 ° C. Increasing the temperature over 1100 ° C is impractical because of the decrease in the durability of the structural elements of the furnace and the weldability of metal waste. Temperature at 5
2) Heating of metal waste in the atmosphere of hydrogen is selected depending on the processed alloy grades. Increasing the heating temperature for alloys doped with Cr, Si, Ti helps to reduce the loss of alloying elements. At 800-900 ° C, the losses of individual alloying elements (Cr, Si, Ti) are no more than 0.5, and at 950-1100 ° C - no more than 0.2 (Table 2)
1Example. Waste of cold-rolled tape 1.5-1.0 mm thick from alloy 29HK-VI, contaminated with emulsion and oil, after packaging and heat treatment using the proposed method in a SGI 12.5 16/11, 5I1 hood furnace
переплавлены в открытой индукционной печи на шихтовую болванку дл последующего использовани при выплавке марочного металла в вакуумной печи ИСВ-0,1б, Использование пакетированных отходов холоднокатаной ленты при выплав ке вакуумного металла недопустимо , так как это сильно зат гивает плавку.remelted in an open induction furnace to a charge blanks for subsequent use in the smelting of branded metal in a vacuum furnace ISV-0.1b. The use of packaged wastes of cold-rolled tape in the smelting of vacuum metal is unacceptable, since it greatly impedes smelting.
In tab. 1 shows the quality of metal waste of 2H alloy, depending on the carbon content.
Table 2 shows the loss of alloying elements in metal scrap of the alloy according to the proposed and known methods.
In tab. 3 shows the chemical composition of the charge blanks obtained by known and proposed methods.
From tab. 1-3, during the processing of cold-rolled wastes according to the proposed method, a lower carbon content in the charge blanks is observed due to more complete removal of mineral-organic impurities, as well as a decrease in carbon-blocking additives — manganese, silicon, titanium and aluminum, which allows smelting began to reduce the consumption of alloying alloys. In addition, the charge of the billet per 1 ton of steel produced increases by almost 2 times.
