Description
The invention relates to metallurgy, specifically to the continuous casting of copper and copper-based alloys.
The aim of the invention is to intensify the process.
З - зависимость среднего коэффициента теплоотдачи о( в зоне- вторичного охлаждени от средней плотности орошени g.Figure 1 shows the scheme for carrying out the method on a continuous casting plant with secondary cooling; 2 is a nomogram for estimating the parameters of secondary cooling (average heat transfer coefficient o (and height of zone h); FIG. 3 shows the dependence of average heat transfer coefficient o (in the secondary cooling zone on average irrigation density g.
The continuous casting plant consists of the crystallizer 1, the nozzles 2 of the dispersed secondary cooling system with height h, and the bottom of stand 3, the position of k is designated ingot.
Среднюю плотность орошени и высоту зоны вторичного охлаждени регулируют в зависимости от скорости лить .In the process of continuous casting, metal (copper or copper alloy), which solidifies under the action of primary cooling, is poured into the crystallizer 1, and then the ingot is drawn from the crystallizer using a drawing stand 3. In the distributed secondary cooling zone, the ingot surface K is cooled with a refrigerant, such as water sprayed by nozzles 2. The average irrigation density and the height of the secondary cooling zone are adjusted depending on the casting speed.
2.The parameters of secondary cooling are established on the basis of a complex of experimental studies, the results of which are summarized in the nomogram shown in Fig. 2.
Based on the experimental data obtained using a nozzle cooling system, the dependence of the heat transfer coefficient in the secondary cooling zone on the average irrigation density g (Fig. 3) is established. Using the dependences oi (v, r) and b (y, d), which follow from the nomogram, taking into account the dependence g (e /), equations are obtained that relate g to the pouring speed V and the ingot radius (half thickness), and v ig.
The lower limit of the average irrigation density is taken from the condition of excluding the secondary heating of the ingot surface under the mold, which occurs when cooling is too soft, when the heat transfer coefficient 0 is lower than the heat transfer coefficient in the mold. In this case, the stresses in the ingot sharply increase, which, in spite of the appearance of internal cracks in it.
The upper limit of the average irrigation density g is selected from the condition of excluding a too rigid cooling mode with an intensity exceeding the upper limit of the average irrigation density. This creates too high a non-uniformity of cooling over the cross section, which also leads to the appearance of internal cracks in the ingot.
An increase in the average density of irrigation is accompanied by an intensification of heat transfer and it is said: an increase, which reduces the depth of the well and, accordingly, the required length h of the secondary cooling zone. Therefore, the upper limit of the average density of irrigation
g соответствует нижний предел высоты зоны орошени цин и, наоборот.g corresponds to the lower limit of the height of the irrigation zone and vice versa.
Сочетание указанных параметров обеспечивает ведение процесса с повышенной скоростью ить .the lower limit corresponds to the upper limit h cExample. An MZr copper ingot with a diameter of 300 mm is cast in a continuous casting plant. The casting speed is set at V 5.5 mm / s (20 m / h). According to the method, the irrigation density g 17 is determined according to the correspondingly larger coefficient 1.0 of the equation g (v and the height of the irrigation zone H 1.1 m, respectively, to a smaller coefficient 1.0 of the equation h (v, r). The combination of these parameters provides guidance process with heightened speed.
