17.Electrodes 9 and 10 are connected respectively to output 13 and common bus 14 of temperature stabilizer 15. (density) of mercury 7, containing a constant voltage source 16 and controlled multivibrator 17, connected via diodes 18 and 19 to the supply diagonal of bridge 20, with one arm 21 of which is part of the mercury column 7 between electrodes 9 and 10. In the equilibrium diagonal of the bridge 20, the input of the imbalance of the bridge imbalance 22 is turned on, and the output of the signaling device 22 is connected to the control input of the multivibrator 17.
6.The electrodes 11 and 12 are connected to the inputs 23 and 24 of the control unit 25, respectively, having a common bus with a stabilizer 15 temperature (density) of mercury 7 and containing inverters 26, 27 and 28, trigger 29, elements 30 and 31 and resistors 32 and 33. The output 34 of the control unit 25 is connected to the control input of the valve 5. The outputs 35 and 36 of the control unit 25 are connected to the inputs of the zero setting and the start of the stopwatch 37, respectively. The source of the consumable fluid 3 is the tank 38, connected to the valve 5, and the consumer 39 mass flow rate of fluid 3 (fuel) at the entrance It is to be measured, is the engine, the fuel system of which is connected to the nozzle 6.
The device works as follows.
If the temperature (resistance) of column 21 of mercury 7 between electrodes 9 and 10 is less than is necessary for balancing bridge 20, the warning lamp 22;. includes a powerful multivibrator 17, the output of which is pulses through diode 18 enters the supply diagonal of bridge 20 and causes heating of mercury 7 between electrodes 9 and 10 until bridge 20 comes s

The multivibrator (7 is turned off until the indicator 22 again detects an imbalance in bridge 20 due to g. Decrease in the resistance (temperature) of mercury. Thus, the temperature (density) of mercury that is in the V-shaped section of the pipeline is kept constant Independent 10 MOH of ambient temperature. Before the start of the measurement — flow rate, the mercury level is set below electrodes 11 and 12. When the control unit 25 is turned on, valve 15 opens and fluid flow 3 starts through supply nozzle A The maximum possible flow rate of the fluid 3 by the consumer 39 through the nozzle 6, therefore, the mass 20 of the fluid 3 in the knee 2 increases in any mode of operation of the consumer 39. As the consumed fluid flows, the level of mercury in the knee 8 rises, and at some point 25 it comes in contact with an electrode
11, connect it via electrode 10 to a common bus. The potential of input 23 of control unit 25 drops to zero, however this does not show the effect of 30 on the potential of the outputs of control unit 25. Upon further filling of the knee 2, the mercury level reaches the electrode 12, which is connected through the electrode 10 to the common bus, and 5 the potential at the inlet 24 of the control unit 25 drops to zero. The valve 5 is closed, but due to the inertia of the valve 5, some excessive amount of liquid 40 enters the knee 2, therefore the level of mercury in knee 8 is set, the level of electrode placement is somewhat

However, at the time of closing valve 5, a zero potential occurs at both inputs gg 23 and 24 of control unit 25. Therefore, at the output 36 of the control unit 25, the voltage permitting the stopwatch 37 to move is absent, but there is a voltage at the output 36 of the control unit gg

37.Bbmie's state of expectation. If there is a fluid intake, the fluid flow 3 to be measured is set solely by the consumer 39 and depends on its mode of operation, that the level of fluid 3 in knee 2 and the level of mercury 7 in knee 8 falls. Mercury 7 moves away from electrode 12, and potential 1 is established at input 24 of control unit 25, the voltage of the stopwatch of the output 35 of control unit 25 disappears, and a voltage appears at its output permitting the stopwatch 37 to run.
Затем процесс повтор етс .In this state, the device remains until the level of mercury 7 in knee 8 drops below electrode 1 when fluid is consumed, potential 1 appears at input 23 of control unit 25, the stopwatch stops and valve 5 opens. Then the process repeats.
Q um/ut.The decrease in the mass dm of liquid 3 in knee 2, corresponding to a decrease in the level of mercury 7 in knee 8 from electrode 1 2 to electrode I 1, is a device constant. The readings At of the stopwatch 37 at the time it stops correspond to the flow time through the outlet 6 of the mass Im of the liquid 3. The flow rate is defined as the ratio Q um / ut.
С учетом посто нства размеров измерительного участка,это эквивалентно измерению времени потреблени некоторой заранее заданной массы расходуемой жид- кости (независимо от плотности этой жидкости).Thus, the device measures the time during which a predetermined change in pressure takes place at the base of the column of fluid to be consumed. Taking into account the constancy of the dimensions of the measuring section, this is equivalent to measuring the time of consumption of some predetermined mass of the consumed fluid (regardless of the density of this fluid).
The proposed device measures the consumption by the consumer 39 of the liquid 3 not continuously, but periodically. Therefore, in the short pause between measurements, when valve 5 is open, the flow rate is not controlled. However, since the device is a mass flow meter and the dimensions of the measuring section can be chosen so that during the time between two measurements, the flow rate does not have time to change significantly, the measurement frequency is not
недостатком устройства и не приводит к снижению точности.disadvantage of the device and does not lead to a decrease in accuracy.
The presence of a flow meter between consumer 39 and tank 38 does not affect the operation of the consumer. Stabilizes the mercury temperature in the V-measuring measuring area should be higher than the highest possible temperature in the room where the device is installed, however it should not be somewhat high to cause chemical changes in the consumed fluid. To protect personnel from exposure to mercury vapor, the surface is the last Knee 8 should be covered with a layer of non-evaporating liquid, such as liquid oil.
При использовании предлагаемого устройства обеспечиваетс высока точность измерени расхода жидкости в широком диапазоне температур воздуха и расходуемой жидкости и возможность измерени расхода малыми порци ми расходуемой жидкости, благо дар чему устройство оказываетс удобным дл измерени расхода топлива при стендовых испытани х двигателей внутреннего сгорани .Using the proposed device, high accuracy of measuring fluid flow is provided over a wide range of air and fluid temperatures and the flow rate can be measured in small portions of the fluid to be consumed, making it convenient to measure the fuel consumption during bench testing of internal combustion engines.
