Abstract
FIELD: production of urea, more particularly preparation of 9-(2-chloro-ethyl)-L-homocitrulline semiproduct for synthesis of antitumor agents. SUBSTANCE: process is carried out by treating 9-(2-chloroethyl)-L- homocitrulline-copper (2+) complex oxalic acid at molar ratio of 1:(1.4-1.5) in aqueous acid medium, and the resulting deposit is subsequently separated and the solution is neutralized with concentrated aqueous ammonia at -5 to 0 C. These conditions make it possible reduce process time from 2-3 hours to 20-30 minutes using low toxic decomplexing agents such as oxalic acid. EFFECT: simplified process.
