«ч ё (Л сThe invention relates to laser technology, more specifically to solid-state lasers pumped by solar radiation, and can be used in power laser systems, laser chemistry, metallurgy, and other laser technological processes. The goal is to increase the efficiency and output power of the laser due to the possibility of providing it with autonomous radiation cooling and non-resonant light-guiding active element. The implementation of the laser helio-concentrator in the form of two optically conjugated concave mirrors 1 and 2, the larger of which has a central opening 3, allows solar radiation to be concentrated on the conical reflector 4 with a mirror outer surface, which provides pumping of the active element 5 made in the form of light guides and a reflective sheath located along the inner noBepxHocTjf 6. The laser efficiency is assisted by an autonomous - the cooling of the active element by the radiator 7 installed in the outer shell the reflecting surface of the shell. 1 il. “H ё (L s
Description
The invention relates to laser technology, and more particularly to solid-state lasers pumped by solar radiation, and can be used in laser power plants, laser chemistry, metallurgy, and other laser technological processes.
The aim of the invention is to increase the efficiency and output power of the laser.
The drawing schematically shows a laser.
The laser contains a helioconcentrator, consisting of two optically conjugated 15 concave mirrors 1 and 2, having the form of bodies of revolution, with a central circular hole 3 in the larger mirror 1, a conical reflector 4 with an external mirror surface, located on a common mirror axis from the shadow side of the larger mirror, active element / NT 5, made in the form of a fiber guide or a cylindrical set of fibers, 25 located on the internal reflective surface of the cylindrical shell 6, coaxial with the mirrors and a conical reflector, and a cooling radiator 7 connected to the outer surface 30 of the reflective shell.
The device operates as follows.
7.The larger concave mirror 1 focuses the solar radiation incident on it 35 onto the smaller concave mirror 2. Owing to the focus and optical conjugation of these mirrors, mirror 2 forms an almost parallel beam of rays incident through the hole 3 in mirror 1 onto the mirror surface of the conical reflector 4. Conical reflector 4 reflects the incident solar flux onto the lateral surface of the laser optical fibers of the active element. Absorbed in laser fibers, solar radiation inverts the population of active centers (for example, Nd +3 ions) in them and induces laser radiation in them jq. Spreading in both directions along the optical fibers, the laser radiation either leaves the output fiber-free optical fiber bundle or passes through them in a double path, reflected from the end Merkals at the other end of the optical fiber. In this case, the cooling of the active element is carried out using a stationary radiator 7.
For a more complete use of the pump energy by the active medium of the laser, pump radiation that is not absorbed in the laser fibers, after a single transverse passage of the fibers, is reflected by the cladding 6 and again enters the fibers For repeated passage into them.
The proposed! '; ’A laser pumped by solar radiation allows you to convert solar energy into laser radiation of a given modality with an overall efficiency close to the maximum efficiency of the medium used, and with an autonomous · active element cooling system.
