Description
Known methods of processing steel parts by cementation with subsequent heat treatment.
To improve the wear resistance of parts, a combined method of chemical-heat treatment is proposed, which consists in the fact that the highly imbuing surface of the part is saturated with a vanidium carbide-forming element and then subjected to carburization and heat treatment. As a result, the surface of the part acquires high hardness and its wear resistance in the abrasive environment increases by 50%, which is confirmed by the test reports.
Способ химикотермической обработки поверхности деталей рекомендуетс проводить в такой последовательности;The method of chemical heat treatment of the surface of parts is recommended to be carried out in such a sequence;
Thermal diffusion saturation with carbide-forming elements (for example, vanadium). This operation can be carried out with the use of a solid carburizer with heating in an electric furnace, or using an appropriate paste with heating with high frequency currents (velocity saturation).
2. Cementation in a solid or gas carburizer, high-temperature gas cementation with ammonia addition can also be used.
3. First oil quenching using heating for cementation.
4. High tempering to eliminate residual austenite.
5. The second hardening.
6. Low vacation.
Only low carbon steels can be subjected to this treatment, since carbon prevents diffusion of carbide forming elements into steel.
