The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the composition of cast steel with high technological and operational properties, resistant to wear in contact with aggressive media.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the wear resistance of stainless steel.
The proposed steel has austenitoferritic structure. If the known steel contains up to 15-20% ferrite, then in the proposed steel its content is increased to 35%. Reducing the nickel content increases the ferrite content. From the point of view of wear resistance, ferrite is more preferable than austenite, since it has greater hardness. To further increase wear resistance in the proposed steel, the carbon content is increased to 0.3%. Chromium carbides formed during crystallization, which have a very high hardness, are evenly located in a metal matrix consisting of austenite and ferrite. This contributes to the increased wear resistance of the steel as a whole.
Increasing the manganese content in the steel changes the nature of austenite and at the same time provides a satisfactory level of corrosion resistance. A further increase in the wear resistance of the proposed steel is provided by chromium carbides, which are formed when a higher content of carbon is introduced into the steel.
