Abstract

This machine comprises a three-column press (1), a ring rolling machine (19), and a carousel-type rotatable transport device that are incorporated in one another and functionally linked together. In this way, in addition to a saving in space, a very efficient machining of the blanks is achieved since the multistage compression forming and the finish-rolling of the latter are physically close to one another. The press (1) is loaded with three compression cylinders (8, 9, 10), whose step tools determine the diameter of the production path (17). The latter encloses a rolling position (22) of the ring rolling machine (19), an input station (32) and a removal station (33), and is arranged around one of the three columns. The step tools and the stations (22, 32, 33) and the workpieces located there are operated by three gripping devices (28), uniformly distributed around a circle, of the transport device which can rotate about the aforementioned column. The transport device enables either a single blank to be transported from station to station by the machine, or alternatively several blanks to be held simultaneously in the equipment, so that in the direction of rotation first of all coning punching and then punching-through occurs, followed by final-stroke heading punching and prepunching, and at the same time finish-rolling is performed at the rolling position (22).
