Description
The invention relates to vacuum technology, in particular to the measurement of the pressure of gases and vapors in high vacuum systems.
Цель изобретени - расширение диапазона измер емых давлений в сторону низких при повьшении быстродействи вакуумметра путем форсировани процесса накоплени ионов в межэлектродном промежутке за счет ионизации остаточных газов как в положительный , так и отрицательный полупериоды высокочастотного напр жени , приложенного между электродами манометрического преобразовател .The purpose of the invention is to expand the range of measured pressures towards low while increasing the speed of a vacuum gauge by speeding up the accumulation of ions in the interelectrode gap due to ionization of residual gases in both the positive and negative half cycles of the high-frequency voltage applied between the electrodes of the manometric transducer.
The drawing shows a diagram of the ionization gauge.
The vacuum gauge contains a two-electrode gauge transducer 1, heating electrodes 2, preheaters 4 and 5, with the emitting surfaces of electrodes 2 and 3 facing each other. A high-frequency generator 6, an instrument 7 in length, are connected in series to electrodes 2 and 3. recording changes in the electron current of the converter 1, the constant-voltage source 8 and the video pulse generator 9. The heaters 4 and 5 of the electrodes 2 and 3 are connected respectively to the voltage sources Yu and 11 for heating the electrodes. The outputs of the voltage sources 10 and 11 for heating the electrodes must have high insulation resistance relative to the common point, so that the active component of the high-frequency generator current currents 6 and the video pulse generator 9 through this resistance is negligible compared to the current through gauge converter .; The reduction of capacitive coupling between the electrodes 2 and 3 through the heaters 4 and 5 of the sources 10 and 11 of their power supply is achieved by switching on, in the circuit of the power supply of the heaters 4 and 5, dissolving chokes (not shown).
.The vacuum meter works as follows. .
Напр жение и частоту генератора высокочастотного напр жени 6 устанавливают такими, чтобы обеспечивалась эффективна ионизаци молекул в межэлектродном промежутке и длительное ко ,The voltage sources 10 and 11 for heating the electrodes heat the electrodes 2 and 3. With heaters 4 and 5. The voltage and frequency of the high-frequency voltage generator 6 are set so as to ensure effective ionization of the molecules in the interelectrode gap and a long time,
Дл этих целей амплитуда высокочастотного напр жени должна быть больше потенциала ионизации молекул,swan movement of ions in the gap. For these purposes, the amplitude of the high-frequency voltage must be greater than the ionization potential of the molecules,
Периодand the frequency of this voltage is so high that the ion coordinate does not change much over a period compared to the distance between the electrodes. The amplitude and duration of the pulses of the generator of video pulses 9 are set so that during the time of action of this pulse the overwhelming majority of ions leave the interelectronic gap of the transducer 1. Period
Посто нное напр жение источника 8 выбирают таким, чтобы амплитуда пилообразной составл юще й электронного тока и скорость изменени этой составл ющей после окончани видеоимпульса генератора 9 были наибольшими .The following video pulses are set so that the amplitude of the sawtooth component of the electron current is close to the maximum possible. The constant voltage of the source 8 is chosen such that the amplitude of the sawtooth component of the electron current and the rate of change of this component after the end of the video pulse of the generator 9 are greatest.
During the accumulation of ions inside the interelectrode gap of the transducer 1, the internal resistance of the transducer 1 is gradually
уменьшаетс , а при лодаче видеоимпульса резко возрастает, что приводит к изменению электронного тока через Преобразователь.decreases, and when the video pulse lags, it increases dramatically, which leads to a change in the electron current through the Converter.
The pressure is determined by the calibration dependences of the instrument readings 7 for recording changes in the electron current of the converter from the pressure ga.
