Description
The invention relates to the field of protection of electrical energy converters and can be used to protect controlled static converters operating on a high inductance load from external short circuits.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of protection.
The drawing shows a functional diagram of the device that implements the proposed method.
5.The device comprises a converter 1, a load 2 supplied from it, a sensor 3 of the output current of the converter 1, a sensor 4 of the voltage across the load 2, a source 5 of a signal proportional to a predetermined value of the output current of the converter 1, a comparator 6, a switch 7 and the system 8 of the converter 1 control. The output of the sensor 4 through the key 7 is connected to the input of the control system 8, the control; the input of the key 7 is connected to the output of the comparator 6, the first and second inputs of which are connected to the outputs of the sensor 3 and the source 5, respectively.
Способ защиты управл емого преобразовател и цепи его нагрузки, обладающей большой индуктивностью, от внешних коротких замыканий заключаетс в том, что контролируют вь ходной ток преобразовател , сравнивают его с заданным и при возникновении короткого замьжани формируют сигнал управлени на уменьшение выходного тока преобразовател пропорционально току в нагрузке, при этом дополнительно контролируют напр жение на нагрузке и преобразуют его в указанный сигнал управлени .A method of protecting a controlled converter and its load with a high inductance from external short circuits is to control the converter's input current, compare it with the set current, and form a control signal to reduce the output current of the converter in proportion to the load current when a short circuit occurs. while further controlling the voltage on the load and converting it to the specified control signal.
In this case, the output current of the converter is controlled by the voltage deviation in the place of a short circuit from zero. In the absence of this deviation, the currents of the converter and the load are equal at the point of short circuit, oppositely directed and

Таким образом, предлагаемый способ позвол ет более надежно защищать цепь нагрузки преобразовател .therefore there is no destruction there. Thus, the proposed method allows to more reliably protect the load circuit of the converter.
The method is carried out in the following way.
In normal operation, converter 1 supplies the load 2 with direct current, the value of which does not exceed the specified value. Key 7 is closed, and the output current of the converter 1 is not controlled by the voltage deviation at load 2. If a short circuit occurs between the sensor 3 and the load 2, the output current of the converter 15 increases. to the input of the control system 8. In this case, in the control system 8, a signal is generated to decrease the output current of the converter 1, which occurs until the voltage at the load 2 decreases to zero. When this voltage drops to zero, the output current of the converter, l 1, becomes equal to the load current 2, decreases as the load current 2 decays, and these currents flow through the short circuit in opposite directions, constantly compensating each other. Therefore, the power in the place of the short circuit is not released and the destruction of the circuit does not occur. Moreover, since the current is controlled by the voltage deviation, which is directly proportional to the power released at the short circuit, neither the arc stability, nor the change in the operation mode of the circuits magnetically connected to the load and loads and, therefore, do not lead to destruction.
