1 The invention relates to a measurement technique and can be used to control the humidity of raw cotton, as well as bulk, solid and liquid materials. The purpose of the invention is to improve the accuracy and reliability of measurements. The drawing shows a structural electrical circuit. Device for measuring the humidity of dielectric materials. A device for measuring the humidity of dielectric materials contains microwave generator 1, attenuator, power divider 3, directed against branching device 4, antenna 5, measuring cell 6, metal, screen 7, first and second detectors 8, 9, limiting amplifier 10, line 11 delays, coincidence unit 12, pulse generator 13, recalculation unit (not shown). A device for measuring the humidity of dielectric materials works in the following way. . After switching on the device into the network, initially set the interval tjj (or frequency „-) of the pulse generator 13 impulses from (1.1 - 1.2) Tn + Lc: Emax where. Tj | - is the propagation time of the direct and reflected pulses from the moment of emission to the input of the coincidence unit 12; The nctf is the maximum possible relative dielectric constant of the material under studyJ C - the delay time of the delay line 11. Moreover, the probe duration is: their pulses are chosen from the condition ho + htjSM ui (0.4-0.7) where hg is the thickness of the test material (sample); hg is the distance from the plane. cteni () antenna to the surface of the studied material; Siin is relative to the permeability of dry material; C is the speed of light. 53 The relationship between the humidity of the material under study and the time of the microwave pulse propagation in it is due to the fact that the dielectric constant of the material under study is determined by the dielectric constant of the dry material under study and the dielectric constant of water. For most dielectric materials, Eg E JDIO therefore the greater the humidity of the material under study, the greater its dielectric permeability. The propagation time of an electromagnetic field in a medium is related to the dielectric constant by the formula: h is the thickness of the material; C is the speed of light; - dielectric constant of the material. It can be seen from the formula that the humidity of the material under study is proportional to the time of the microwave pulse propagation in it. : Pulses from the generator generator 13 pulses are fed to the modulated input of the microwave generator 1 (for example, by pressing the Start button). Simultaneously, from its output through the attenuator 2, the microwave pulses arrive at the receiver-transmitting antenna 5. The main part of the energy of the microwave pulses is radiated in the direction of the dielectric material under investigation, placed in the measuring cell 6, - and some of it (calibrated) go through power divider 3, e.g. a directional coupler, to the first detector 8, where microwave pulses are detected and fed to the first input of a coincidence unit 12. The emitted part of the energy of the microwave pulse is distributed as follows: part of it is reflected from the material under study, part of it is absorbed, and the rest is reflected from the metal screen 7. Reflected part of the energy of the microwave pulse with time shift relative to the moment of radiation, b enters antenna 5, from where, via directional 3, coupler 4 enters the second detector 9, where it detects and feeds into the limiting amplifier amplifier 10. From the output of the latter through the delay line .11, the pulses go to the second input d block 12 matches. The limiting amplifier 10 triggers the useful signal, limits the pulse of the pulse reflected from the surface of the material under study, and amplifies the amplitude of the pulse reflected from the metal screen. Line 11 delay performs two functions: eliminates the imposition of the power of the reflected from the metal screen 7 and the useful pulse with subsequent emission of pulses in the plane of reception (transmission of the antenna 5) and eliminates the false triggering of the block 12, coincidence from the interference, is squeezed away at the moment of the pulse being emitted into the directional response 4. The deceleration time line selects r (1.5-2PI. Block 12 coincidence records only pulses reflected from the metal screen 534 7, the propagation time of which in the material under study characterizes its integral humidity .... For this, reduce it (manually or automatically) the interval of the pulses ty of the generator 13 pulses until the simultaneous arrival of the pulses from the output of the detector 8 and from the output of the delay line 11 to the .12 coincidence unit (the moment of equality t Ту Tu). At this moment, from the output of the coincidence unit 12 to the controlled input of the generator 13 pulses arrive. a signal that stops adjusting the frequency (interval) of the pulse (in the case of adjustment, the incoming signal indicates the need to stop it). Then, pulses from the pulse generator 13 are fed to a conversion unit, where the pulse frequency (interval) is converted into integral moisture readings of the material under study.
