Description
Известно , что пары металла ионизируютс значительно легче, поэтому в дугогасительных устройствах необходимо принимать меры по предотвращению попадани металлических паров электродов в столб дуги, в конкретном примере дл этого используетс специально создаваема окисна пленка на поверхности окисленногоg a ± L L L 9 1 g The invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular, to bridge-type contact devices, and can be used to create liquid metal switching devices. A metal-contact contact device is known, which contains two stationary electrodes and a movable bridge electrode in contact with the stationary electrodes through elastic porous packings impregnated with liquid metal | 1} This device has a limited switching capacity, since it cannot switch large currents because of the elastic gaskets that wear out as a result of an electric arc. The closest to the invention in technical essence and the achieved result is a liquid metal contact device containing two stationary solid metal electrodes separated with an insulator, made with recesses, filled with a liquid metal, and a MOVING bridge electrode. The angles of the fixed electrodes, in addition to the liquid metal, contain any kind of filler (metal mesh, heat-resistant steel), which creates a composite liquid metal contact that is less susceptible to destruction under the influence of an electric arc 21. However, the structural performance of this contact device limits the value of its switching capacity. The purpose of the invention is to increase the commutation ability. This goal is achieved by the fact that in a liquid metal contact device containing two stationary solid metal electrodes made with depressions filled with liquid metal and a movable bridge electrode with two contact protrusions located in these depressions, the substitute bridge electrode is provided with an additional arc extinguishing contact lug sections and a height greater than the first and less than the second protrusions located in an additional recess filled with oxidized liquid methane llom, RE cally isolated from one electrode and contacting the other element trodes, and in the main volume of the recesses is filled with liquid metal inert liquid medium. FIG. 1 shows a liquid metal contact device, when performing an additional arc suppression contact protrusion with a firmly metallic, general view, section; Fig 2 is the same when it is made of arc-resistant ceramics wetted by an oxidized liquid metal. The liquid metal contact device contains stationary electrodes 1 and 2 with depressions 3 and 4, filled with liquid metal 5 and liquid inretroma b, above these. the recesses are blocked by elastic insulating partitions 7, crimping the contact protrusions 8 and 9 of the contact bridge 10, the Contact bridge 10 is provided with an additional arcing contact protrusion 11 of a smaller section, which is immersed when inserted into the recess 12 filled with the oxidized liquid metal 13. The recess 12 is electrically isolated from the electrode 1 and is in contact through the oxidized liquid meth 1L with electrode 2. The depth of immersion into the liquid metal of the contact projections 8.9 and 11 is carried out in steps. Electrode 1 is immersed to a greater depth, an electrode 2 is inserted to a smaller one, and an additional arcing electrode 11 is placed in the middle between them. The apparatus works as follows. In the on position, the electrodes 1 and 2 through the contact protrusions 8 and 9, immersed in the liquid metal 5, located in the recesses 3 and 4, are closed. When disconnected, the contact bridge 10 is raised by a drive device, the contact protrusion 9 is removed from the recess 4 in the electrode 2, but the circuit remains closed through an additional arcing contact protrusion 11, which limits the current due to the fact that it is immersed in the oxidized liquid metal 13, Liis in the recess 12. The oxidized liquid metal 13 has a higher contact resistance with solid metal contacts, as well as an increased specific resistance compared to the non-oxidized liquid metal. Upon further raising of the bridge 10, the additional arc suppression lug 11 is removed from the recess 12, the circuit is broken. The resulting deflection arc is damped by expansion in air. The arc conditions are improved by the fact that the oxide film prevents the ingress of liquid metal vapor into the arc of the arc. It is known that metal vapors ionize much more easily, therefore, in arcing devices it is necessary to take measures to prevent metal vapors of the electrodes from entering the arc column; in a concrete example, a specially created oxide film is used on the surface of the oxidized metal.
6.liquid metal 13 in the open recess 12. After breaking the chain, the contact protrusion 8 remains in drilling 3, crimped by an insulating partition 7. Sealing each metal 5 in recesses 3 and 4 is not disturbed by the presence of an inert medium layer 6.
When the contact is switched on, the bridge is lowered by a driving device, by alternately immersing the contact protrusions 11 and 8, into the recesses 12 and 4, filled with liquid metal 5. The circuit is closed.
Thus, due to the presence of arcing contact and protection against oxidation — a liquid metal at the main contacts, their resistance is stable over time, which allows for the minimum resistance of the contact junction during the entire operation of the apparatus.
Fig. 2 shows a liquid metal device, different from that described in that the additional contact protrusion 11 is made of an arcing insulating material wetted by an oxidized liquid metal. In this case, the shutdown process will proceed as follows.
Контактнг- мост 10 приводным устройством поднимаетс , контакт ный выступ 9 извлекаетс через окислую жидкометаллическую пленку на поверхности контактного выступа 11, котора перегорает под действием протекающего тока.obrskzom The contacting bridge 10 is raised by a drive device, the contact protrusion 9 is removed through an oxidized liquid metal film on the surface of the contact protrusion 11, which burns out under the action of a flowing current.
The films of such a process showed that already after 0.18 ms plasma flows occur
0 almost perpendicular to the surface of ceramics. The length of these streams increases over time.
The presence of plasma flows contributes to the removal of energy from the arc column, better cooling it, and
5 therefore, an improvement in the arc quenching condition.
The main advantage of the proposed design is an increase in switching capacity without increasing the size, -ITO is achieved by introducing an additional arcing contact and protection against erosion of the liquid metal of the main contacts, which is carried out
5 by bringing the electric arc to an additional arcing contact and coating the liquid metal with a layer of inert medium.
