Description
Recording system of positional identification of animals is intended for evaluation of rest and movement activities of animals in production objects of animal production, as well as determination of position of monitored objects.
Doterajší stav technikyBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Dojnice ležia denne 8 až 12 hodín. Ležanie dojníc vležisku, resp. v chodbe, ich státie všetkými štyrmi nohami v boxe, ako i státie dvomi prednými nohami v boxe, atď. Samotnú dojnosť okrem kvality kŕmenia a napájania zvierat môžu ovplyvniť aj technické parametre ustajňovacích prvkov maštali a mikroklíma spolu so stavom znečistenia prostredia. Dairy cows lie daily for 8 to 12 hours. Lying dairy cows in the pits, resp. in the hallway, standing with all four legs in the box, as well as standing with the two front legs in the box, etc. - are important ethological manifestations that characterize the response of animals to the quality of the farming environment. If the lying time of high-yielding dairy cows is prolonged, for example by 1 hour per day, milk production can increase by up to 1.7 kg / day / head. The frequency of rearing and the length of the individual resting intervals of the animals is therefore an important manifestation of the degree of comfort as well as the state of health of the housed animals with a direct link to the dairy cow's performance. In addition to the quality of feeding and watering of animals, the dairy quality itself can also be affected by the technical parameters of the stables and the microclimate, together with the state of environmental pollution. In breeding practice, it is important to trace the parameters that the breeder can improve and help welfare, respectively. productivity of dairy cows. To do this, it is necessary to measure activities before the intended change and to measure the state after adjusting the technical parameters in the building.
Doterajšie celosvetovo známe spôsoby hodnotenia prejavov správania dojníc sú:The current known methods of assessing the behavior of dairy cows are:
1. metódy priameho pozorovania snímkovou metódou školenými pozorovateľmi s rôznymi záznamovými intervalmi, s následným manuálnym vyhodnotením1. direct observation imaging methods by trained observers with different recording intervals, followed by manual evaluation
2. kamerové videosystémy s kontinuálnym snímaním a dodatočným manuálnym vyhodnotením alebo špeciálne kamerové videosystémy s automatickým vyhodnotením pomocou softvéru2. continuous video camera systems with additional manual evaluation or special video camera systems with automatic software evaluation
3. snímanie zvierat multifunkčnými pedometrami • · · ·3. sensing animals with multifunction pedometers • · · ·
Všetky uvedené metódy môžu s menším alebo väčším úspechom splniť chovateľovi cieľ a podať žiadanú informáciu o ležaní, státí, či inom prejave správania dojníc v ležisku. All of the above methods can, with less or more success, meet the breeder's goal and provide the desired information on lying, standing or other manifestation of the behavior of dairy cows in the bed.
Uvedené metódy majú svoje výhody i nevýhody:These methods have advantages and disadvantages:
Presnosť výsledkov teda súvisí s veľkosťou stáda a s počtom pozorovateľov schopných subjektívne jednotného posúdenia a s manuálnou náročnosťou pri prepise údajov k elektronickému spracovaniu.1. The method of direct observation is relatively simple and inexpensive, but it is linked to the possible frequency of observer registration. Usually it is physically handled write in 10 minutes, or 5 minutes. A lower registration frequency can only be used for a small - statistically insignificant group of animals. The accuracy of the results is therefore related to the size of the herd and the number of observers capable of subjective uniform assessment and to the manual difficulty of transcribing the data for electronic processing.
CCTV systems provide the advantage of continuous recording. However, they are also investment-intensive and demanding for storing, collecting and evaluating data for groups housed in low buildings with the necessity of increasing the number of cameras for recognizability of recordings by manual - individual evaluation, or financially demanding when implementing automatic software to evaluate activities directly from camera recordings. The shooting period at night must be specifically solved.
Multifunctional pedometers are used abroad to describe the individual activities of specific individuals. They have a pedometer installed on the limb, which is able to automatically evaluate the desired output of the movement-rest activities of the animal. However, the device itself is investment-intensive and when purchased for a larger number of animals it is very close to the camera system along with the necessary software, and it does not record spatial information on the position of the animal in the stall when the activity was recorded.
Podstata technického riešeniaThe essence of the technical solution
The above-mentioned deficiencies in the recording of animal activities are solved by the Animal Positioning Recording System, which is based on the fact that ultrasound monitors the position of the animal during changes in the quality of the bed, resp. environmental quality, consisting of two ultrasonic animal position sensors located in the same vertical plane, where the first records the horizontal distance of the animal from the front of the box and the second measures the vertical distance of the animal in the box from the housing ceiling so that it can be clearly identified in the monitored box, where the measured data is transmitted via serial communication between the master and the glory • by an ultrasonic distance meter and the thus processed records are collected by the data acquisition unit through the physical layer RS-485 and then stored on the storage medium into selected standardized file type for further statistical processing. The animal posture identification system is further characterized in that the air temperature is measured and compensated for position records, and the exceptionality is that the device processes a series of rebounds not only in terms of rebound time but also intensity to accurately identify the presence and position of the animal lying - standing, respectively. lying in a box (two or four limbs), because the litter reflection has at least 30% lower intensity of the sensed signal than the reflection from the animal, the reflection from the structure is again up to 3 times higher and thanks to this additional information can accurately determine activities animals in the box, which are stored in standard file types directly suitable for further statistical processing of results (Excel, Statistica, Matlab, etc.).
Záznamový systém polohovej identifikácie zvierat umožňuje rozšíriteľnosť jednak z hľadiska počtu snímaných boxov i počtu snímačov vzdialenosti v rámci jedného boxu. Systém je možné pozične nainštalovať podľa rozmerových parametrov meraného objektu. The Animal Position Recording System enables scalability in terms of both the number of scanners scanned and the number of proximity sensors within one box. The system can be installed according to the dimensional parameters of the measured object.
Recording system of positional identification of animals as a contactless ultrasound solution is also usable during day and night, the present method of recording is transformed by the converter into the desirable form of output with the possibility of automatic recalculation of detected activities.
The animal positional identification system uses asynchronous serial half-duplex communication between the units monitoring the local data collection boxes. The communication is controlled by the data acquisition unit and the measured data on detected distances, their corresponding peak signal intensities and the corresponding air temperature is stored in a standardized structured file in * .csv and * .mat formats on USB flash via USB or SD card via SPI . The system is supplied from the mains by a stabilized DC power supply with galvanic isolated output. In one box are mounted two ultrasonic measuring instruments, one of which is a master device and one of the glory device. The master ultrasonic measuring instrument communicates directly with the data acquisition unit and also transmits information from the meter's glory through synchronous serial communication. The glory meter is powered from the master device over a section of the communication cable.
Distances are measured to an enviable count along with information about the return signal strength and air temperature, which is measured by a digital smart sensor. Air temperature is a disturbance for the speed of acoustic wave propagation, which affects the measured distance. The built-in microprocessor compensates for the effect of temperature. The frequency of the ultrasonic signal is controlled by a microprocessor formed in the field of programmable counters and a module for frequency output, by means of which the length of the transmitted wave is controlled. The intensity of the transmitted wave from the piezoelectric transducer is controlled by a microprocessor via a digital-to-analog converter (hereinafter D A converter) and a controlled voltage source that supplies a double-acting bridge power amplifier.
The reflected acoustic waves are captured by a piezoelectric receiver, from which the electrical signal is amplified by a voltage amplifier and then filtered by a selective active filter. The filtered signal is rectified by a full wave rectifier and, together with the signal from the filter, is applied to the analog multiplexer input. The selected signal is converted into digital form by an analog-to-digital converter (hereinafter AD converter) and information about intensities is collected by a microprocessor. The signal is captured by a comparator that calls the microprocessor interrupt. The switching level is set by the microprocessor using a D A converter with connection to the inverting comparator input. Based on the response time, response intensity and air temperature, the animal is localized and identified. The communication block for synchronous half-duplex communication is connected to the voltage level converter and is intended for local communication interconnection within the modules of one box. The asynchronous serial communication block (UARTuniversal asynchronous receiver - hereinafter UART) is connected to the UART / RS-485 converter and is connected to the main communication line between the boxes and the data collection unit. The temperature inside the equipment is also measured to avoid systematic errors due to very high temperatures.
Navrhované riešenie používa vlnu s frekvenciou 40 kHz, pretože hovädzí dobytok má maximálnu vnemovú frekvenciu pod 38 kHz. Technické riešenie nahrádza komunikáciu chovateľa s dobytkom, nakoľko je ním možné zisťovanie vhodnosti konštrukcií a prostredia, pretože sa týka inovatívnej bezkontaktnej kontinuálnej možnosti sledovania a hodnotenia prejavov správania dojníc pri potrebe zmien prvkov chovateľského prostredia prostredníctvom zariadenia vyvinutého k rýchlemu vyhodnocovaniu akceptovania chovných podmienok a ich zmien zvieratami. The proposed solution uses a 40 kHz wave because bovine has a maximum perceptual frequency below 38 kHz. The technical solution replaces the communication of the breeder with the cattle, as it is possible to determine the suitability of the structures and the environment, because it concerns an innovative non-contact continuous possibility of monitoring and evaluation of dairy behavior behavior. .

Príklady uskutočneniaEXAMPLES
Záznamový systém polohovej identifikácie zvierat pozostáva z dvoch ultrazvukových snímačov polohy zvieraťa - master 6 a sláve 5 umiestnených v zhodnej vertikálnej rovine, kde master 6 je umiestnený na čelnej stene boxu a sláve 5 je umiestnený nad stredom boxu na stropnej konštrukcii, pričom master 6 a sláve 5 ultrazvukové merače vzdialenosti sú medzi sebou prepojené napájacím vedením 11 a komunikačným vedením 12, ďalej jednotky master 6 všetkých boxov sú spojené s jednotkou na zber údajov 2 prostredníctvom fyzickej vrstvy RS485 10 a pripojené na napájači zdroj 4 prostredníctvom napájacieho vedenia 9, pričom jednotka na zber údajov je spojená s pamäťovým médiom i alebo 3.The animal position identification system consists of two ultrasonic animal position sensors - master 6 and glory 5 located in the same vertical plane, where master 6 is located on the front of the box and glory 5 is located above the center of the box on the ceiling structure, 5 the ultrasonic distance meters are interconnected by the power line 11 and the communication line 12, further the master 6 of all boxes are connected to the data collection unit 2 via the physical layer RS485 10 and connected to the power supply 4 via the power line 9, data is associated with the storage medium i or 3.
Komunikáciu riadi jednotka na zber údajov 2 prostredníctvom 10 štandardu RS485 a namerané údaje o detekovaných vzdialenostiach, im odpovedajúcim intenzitám odrazeného signálu v špičke a teplote vzduchu ukladá do štandardizovaného štruktúrovaného súboru vo formátoch *.csv a *.mat na USB flash I cez rozhranie USB 7 alebo SD kartu 3 cez rozhranie SPI 8. Systém je napájaný z elektrickej rozvodnej siete prostredníctvom zdroja stabilizovaného jednosmerného elektrického napätia 4 s galvanický oddeleným výstupom 9. Systém používa vlnu s frekvenciou 40 kHz.Communication is controlled by the data acquisition unit 2 via 10 RS485 standard, and the measured data on detected distances, their corresponding peak signal intensity and air temperature, is stored in a standardized structured file in * .csv and * .mat formats on USB flash I via USB 7 or SD card 3 via the SPI interface 8. The system is powered from the power grid via a stabilized DC power supply 4 with a galvanic isolated output 9. The system uses a 40 kHz frequency.
The reflected acoustic waves are picked up by a piezoelectric receiver 101 from which an electrical signal is amplified by a voltage amplifier 102 and then filtered by a selective active filter 103. The filtered signal is rectified by a full wave rectifier 104 and coupled with the signal from the filter is input to the analog multiplexer 105. The signal is captured by a comparator 107 that calls an interruption of the microprocessor 114. The switching level is set by the microprocessor 114 by the DA converter 111 with connection to the inverting input of the comparator. Based on the response time, response intensity and air temperature, the animal is localized and identified. The communication block for synchronous half-duplex communication 116 is connected to the voltage level converter 121 and is intended for local communication interconnection within modules of one box. The asynchronous serial communication (UART) 118 block is connected to a UART / RS-485 120 converter and is connected to the main communication link between the boxes and the data acquisition unit.
Vysielaný signál je riadený navrhnutým algoritmom podľa potreby, a to prostredníctvom D A prevodníka 111 a riadeného zdroja napätia 110 je riadená intenzita vysielanej akustickej vlnyThe transmitted signal is controlled by the proposed algorithm as needed, by means of the D A converter 111 and the controlled voltage source 110 controls the intensity of the transmitted acoustic wave
a pomocou poľa programovateľných počítadiel 113 a presného zdroja frekvencie 112 časová dĺžka vysielanej vlny. Meraná je aj teplota vo vnútri zariadení (115) kvôli zamedzeniu systematických chýb z dôvodu veľmi vysokých teplôt.and using the field of programmable counters 113 and the exact frequency source 112 the transmitted wave length. Also included is a digital intelligent temperature sensor 119, which helps compensate for temperature as a disturbance affecting the velocity of ultrasonic wave propagation in the air, with which the control microprocessor communicates via generally applicable ports 117. The temperature inside the devices (115) is also measured to prevent systematic errors because of very high temperatures.
The device is tested and installed at the SPU farm in Oponice, where the behavior of the animal (dairy cows) is monitored when the bed quality changes.
