Abstract

The subject of the invention is a chair on a coil spring with a movement limiter, where the seat is clamped to the underframe by means of the coil spring which enables the seat to swing and move freely. Such a chair exhibits orthopaedic properties, because it simulates the sitting on a therapeutic ball, which is exceptionally advantageous for the spine and dorsal muscles. The chair according to the invention is characteristic in that a bar (6) is mounted on the top of a carrier (2) in the geometrical centre of the spring (1), where the bar (6) is a rod and the length of the bar (6) is less than the distance between the top of the carrier (2) and the lower surface of a platform (5) in the unloaded spring (1), and where this smaller length of the bar (6) is determined by the shrinkage of the spring (1) at the maximum allowed vertical load on the seat, and that a bush (8) is inserted at the upper end of the spring (1) into its interior.
