Abstract

A program selector knob assembly in a machine, especially a household apparatus, which by manual selection and turning on one of potential programs with a knob, at the same time and independently from a user, turns on also a respective individual light mark designating the selected program function or current setting or status of this program, and where only one luminous body, preferentially a diode, is provided for the light designation of any selected program. The knob assembly according to the invention is designed in such a manner that a turnable knob (2) of the program selector on the rear side of a panel (1) is executed with a carrier (4) of the luminous body (5), preferentially a diode. The light body is (5) installed on the carrier (4) at the distance from the rotation axis of the knob (2), equal to the radius of the circle on which transparent windows (7) - designating a selected program function or current setting or status of this program - are arranged on the panel (1).
