Description

MEDICAL ADHESIVE TAPE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a medical adhesive tape and particularly to a medical adhesive tape that has a base fabric layer with a pattern layer located on the upper surface thereof formed by printing, embroidering or embossing to facilitate identification.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In the traditional society, people who suffer from waist sore, back ache, foot sprain or muscle strain or the like usually go to traditional therapy clinics to ask for treatments such as naprapathy or poultice, or buy plaster in nearby pharmacies to alleviate muscle sore or pain.
With advance of economic development and increasing reformation of society, muscle sore or pain caused by civilization diseases also increases, such as working on the computers for a long time, heavy physical labor, endless household chores or improper physical postures that could cause neck sore, back ache, arthralgia and the like. To seek fast relief of pain and convenience, buying medical adhesive tape is a preferred choice for most of people. The medical adhesive tape is commonly called medical plaster or poultice.
Please refer to FIG. 1 for a conventional medical adhesive tape 1 which includes a base fabric layer 11 and a medicament layer 12 located on a lower surface thereof. The medicament layer 12 contains adhesive material. To prevent the adhesive material from being stuck by other objects, the medical adhesive tape I usually has a release paper 13 to temporarily protect the adhesive medicament layer 12. When in use, the release paper 13 is peeled off. The base fabric layer 11 mostly is made of uncolored nonwoven. When the medical adhesive tape 1 is in use, due to it has large covering area and can be used for long duration, when adhered to the treated skin not covered by clothes such as sore neck or joints, it is exposed notably and not coordinated to clothes. Moreover, after the release paper 13 has been peeled off, the similar colors of the base fabric layer 11 and medicament layer 12 could confuse users about correctly identifying adhesive direction. All these show that there are still rooms for improvement.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
In view of the problem of the conventional medical adhesive tape in identification deficiency, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a medical adhesive tape with a pattern layer on an upper side that contains a selected pattern or text formed by printing, embroidering or embossing to facilitate identification and improve practicability.
The medical adhesive tape according to the invention includes a base fabric layer, a medicament layer and a release paper. The base fabric layer is elastic. The medicament layer is located on a lower surface of the base fabric layer and is made of adhesive medication material. The release paper is located on a lower surface of the medicament layer to temporarily protect the medicament layer from being stuck by other objects. The base fabric layer has a pattern layer located on the upper surface that contains a selected pattern or text formed by printing, embroidering or embossing.
The medical adhesive tape thus formed provides many advantages, notably:
I. Users can select the medical adhesive tape with a desired pattern layer to match clothes or occasions, hence look more trendy and appealing. 2. The designs of patterns or texts are not limited, thus can facilitate identification of adhesive direction, medical efficacy and the like. 3. The pattern layer can be designed in a fashionable style to conform to contemporary ethos. 4. Provide differentiation with the conventional medical plasters, users can identify adhesive direction of the medical adhesive tape easier when in use.
The foregoing, as well as additional objects, features and advantages of the invention will be more readily apparent from the following detailed description, which proceeds with reference to the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Please refer to FIG. 2, the present invention aims to provide a medical adhesive tape 2 which mainly comprises a base fabric layer 21, a medicament layer 22 and a release paper 23. The base fabric layer 21 is elastic and has a pattern layer 24 located on the upper surface. The pattern layer 24 contains a selected pattern or text (also referring to FIGS. 3 and 4) formed by printing, embroidering or embossing to facilitate identification and improve practicability.
The medicament layer 22 is made of adhesive medication material and is located on a lower surface of the base fabric layer 21.
The release paper 23 is adhered to a lower surface of the medicament layer 22 to be peeled off when in use.
The base fabric layer 21, medicament layer 22 and release paper 23 are bonded together to form the medical adhesive tape 2.
Refer to FIGS. 5 through 7C for a first embodiment of the invention. The medical adhesive tape 2 includes a base fabric layer 21 with a pattern layer 24 located on the upper surface, the pattern layer 24 contains a selected pattern or text formed by printing, embroidering or embossing, When the medical adhesive tape 2 is in use, the release paper (referring to FIGS. 2 through 4) is peeled off and the pattern layer 24 is exposed to clearly indicate adhesive direction, thus helps identification and also improves practicability.
Refer to FIGS. 8 through 10 for a second embodiment of the invention. The medical adhesive tape 3 mainly comprises a base fabric layer 31, a medicament layer 32 and a release paper 33. The base fabric layer 31 is elastic and has an upper surface 34 with a bonded layer 35 formed thereon. The bonded layer 35 is made of air permeable material such as nonwoven or paper with air ventilation holes formed thereon. The bonded layer 35 has an upper surface with a pattern layer 36 located thereon, the pattern layer 36 contains a selected pattern or text formed by printing, embroidering or embossing.
The bonded layer 35 is attached to the upper surface of the base fabric layer 31 by stitching or bonding. The bonding can be reused repeatedly. The bonded layer 35 or pattern layer 36 has an upper surface attachable with ornamental objects 37 such as rhinestone to enhance notability and identification.
The medicament layer 32 is made of adhesive medication material and is located on a lower surface of the base fabric layer 31. The release paper 33 is adhered to a lower surface of the medicament layer 32 to be peeled off when in use. The base fabric layer 31, medicament layer 32 and release paper 33 are bonded together to form the medical adhesive tape 3.
When in use, after the release paper 33 is peeled off, the pattern layer 36 or ornamental objects 37 on the bonded layer 35 can be used to clearly indicate adhesive direction, thus identification is easier and practicability improves. It also enhances aesthetic and fashion appeal.
