Abstract

OFFSHORE RIG SUPPORT STRUCTURE An apparatus and method of deploying a jack-up rig unit at sea provides for a ballastible structure that is capable of being fully submerged to rest on the sea bed. The structure extends upwardly to a desired height to form supporting base for the leg footings of the jack- up rig at a predetermined depth below the water surface. (Figure 1)
