Abstract

REFRIGERATOR WITH DAMPER UNIT CONTROLLING FLOW OF COLD AIR A refrigerator includes a storage compartment, an evaporator for producing cold air, a duct for supplying the cold air from the evaporator into the storage compartment, a damper unit disposed in the duct and including a damper motor serving as a drive source and a baffle plate opened and closed by the damper motor, and a control device for controlling the damper motor so that the baffle plate is opened and closed, thereby controlling flow of the cold air into the storage compartment, the control device further controlling the damper motor so that the damper motor is energized for self-heating.
