Abstract

The invention provides methods of transmitting and receiving a paging 5 message, access network equipment, and terminal device equipment. The method of transmitting a paging message comprises: access network equipment determines a paging message; the access network equipment determines a paging start time and a continuous paging transmission time interval; and the access network equipment transmits, by employing beam sweeping, and according to the paging start time and 10 the continuous paging transmission time interval, the paging message. Therefore, the embodiment can enhance quality of receiving a paging message. FIG. 2
