Abstract

A number of receiving units each represent at least one classification. The robot (9) is arranged to pluck the objects from a transport unit used and on the basis of the read classification information sorts them into the receiving units. Each receiving unit is a free-standing carriage (1) which during sorting is placed in a position within the reach of the robot (9), being rollable to and from this position. Each carriage incorporates at least two cassettes (3), each representing at least one classification. The cassettes are positioned on different sides of each carriage and each carriage has a rotation component (8), which on sorting of an object turns the one or the other of the carriage and the cassette so that a cassette with the correct classification comes into position for receiving the object.
