Abstract
The speech response device (11) is made to adopt a rest position. The first subscriber (A) establishes a connection with a second subscriber (C) by a ringing-up procedure. The first subscriber (A) connects the second subscriber (C) with the speech response device, dependent upon the choice of the second subscriber (C). - The speech response device is changed over from the rest position and replays the stored information for listening by the second subscriber (C). The speech response device (11) records and stores the response from the subscriber (C) via buttons on a telephone. The first subscriber (A) establishes a connection with a further subscriber by a ringing-up procedure and then the complete process is repeated. The first subscriber establishes a connection with the second subscriber via an exchange (10) and connects the second subscriber with the speech response device via the exchange.
